How long has a mind like ours really inhabited this planet? And I think two papers in particular that have come out in the 12 months since I was here have huge ramifications for that question. And also combined into that is the question of other human species. How intelligent were other human species? Because we used to think that we were the smart ones. I mean, our name Homo sapiens literally translates to wise man, which is an incredibly humble thing for us to say about ourselves. But, but yeah, so, so that's question 2: how old is human intelligence? And again, I think the answer is we don't have the answer anymore. Um, so that's, that's really fascinating. And then question 3 is when did humans first reach the more isolated land masses? So that's the Americas, where we are right now, and also Australia, which is perhaps less important but still interesting. And again, we don't have the answer for that anymore. And I think whatever the answer is to these three questions— why does civilization appear everywhere all at once, how old is human intelligence, and when did humans first reach the more isolated parts of the world— The answer to those questions, whatever it is, I think is fundamentally important because whatever the answer is, is the reason we're all here, right? It's the reason we all live in this civilization. It's the reason we all enjoy the fruits of everything that we exist in today. And yet we don't know the answer anymore. But as I said, on the surface everyone's kind of carrying on like it's business as usual, but we no longer know the answer to the most fundamental questions of how we got here. So Yeah.

Where they have this incubator where Klarna was founded and sort of incubated in, Legora as well, Boij as well. And I'm on the advisory board of that school and it's incredible to see that track record. I was kind of jokingly saying that, you know, investing into all of these companies would be a fairly healthy investment strategy. So I think that school has the most entrepreneurial density and legacy and history with it. And then of course we have KTH, which is the technological university also based in the city with an amazing robotics division. We have, you know, Stockholm University that has a great law education, etc. So we have some really, really good places. But I also think maybe I'm colored by my own experience, but also having worked at startups is probably the best crash course. So like Anton at Lovable, he used to work at Sauna Labs, which is one of these breakout companies as well. So I think they also go and visit companies, see how it's done, and then, you know, also get inspired to start their own companies. I think we also see a lot of people now kind of leaving Loveable because they also see all of these opportunities for companies that can be built with that technology. So talent hub-wise, I would say like people that are, you know, have worked at Loveable and Agora or seem to be very entrepreneurial driven and keen to start their own companies.

They want to wean themselves off NVIDIA's pricey hardware. Be my guest. Maybe they can. Maybe they're big hat, no cattle. Google and Amazon have been, have been making competing chips of their own, but they've also been doing plenty of business with NVIDIA and speak incredibly highly of the product. Think of it this way, though. If you leave the comfortable world of NVIDIA, you leave the platform that most engineers want to write on, most young companies want to write on. Their chips aren't expensive. The chips— look, they're expensive, okay? They're expensive for a reason. And it's no coincidence that the companies I've mentioned are a huge part of the Nvidia story, hence why it dominates all option trading night after night after night. It's just too big not to. All that said, we can't discuss Nvidia's dominance without addressing the critics, because if the bears are right, the stock will tumble regardless of what reports tomorrow. Let me lay them out so you're ready. First and foremost, Nvidia has made a huge number of multibillion-dollar investments in AI, from Anthropic to OpenAI to Marvell Tech and Coherent and so many others, really too, too numerous to mention. Many of these investments have already yielded large profits, at least on paper. But NVIDIA sells almost nothing that's invested in there. Letting the— let's say the bets ride. I think these investments allow the companies involved to soar. NVIDIA gives them a chance to experiment, manufacture the wares better. Thanks to these moves, NVIDIA, this is— it's the sun. In what seems like an endless AI solar system. I think that's tremendous. Companies always want to dominate. Why shouldn't Nvidia use its profits to help ensure that it remains on top? It's not like they're doing anything anti-competitive. Nvidia invested $30 billion in OpenAI, and OpenAI is downright gleeful about inventing this new chip, Jalapeño, that can compete with Nvidia's. Word to the wise for OpenAI: I grow jalapeños. Don't touch them and put your hands to your eyes. It's a nightmare. Now, these investments come in many forms. Convertible preferred stock like Marvell, straight out common like Coherent, cash and warrants like Corning, backstops and guarantees for many others.
