So yeah, just Marathon Petroleum Company, a corporation, a giant US-based refiner. Their quarterly income from operations was $7.3 billion. So not, not a bad business making $7.3 billion in 3 months.

Um, okay, now here's the problem. There's a short-term view which it says to me, yeah, longer-term view says, yeah, Put it away. Give it to your kids. I'm not kidding. I mean, people say like, oh, he's being facetious. I'm not. Put it away and give it to your kids. Let's go to Chip in Wisconsin.
Jim Cramer — Mad Money w/ Jim Cramer · Mad Money w/ Jim Cramer 8/25/26 · 2026-08-25Welcome back. China's humanoid robot industry has become the biggest flex China has when it comes to its high-tech manufacturing sector. Just this week, a Chinese humanoid robot ran faster than Usain Bolt, breaking his 2009 100-meter dash record, with a caveat that it then ran into a wall and had to be carried out on a stretcher. Chinese vendors reportedly account for something like 97% of humanoid robots shipped globally in the first half of this year, and Chinese buyers are absorbing roughly 85% of global demand. I do have to say Usain Bolt is still more charismatic as a runner, but it was amusing to watch these robots run. You know, we've seen a couple of, uh, videos in the last few years of, you know, dancing robots, uh, from Unitree. Now these robots running marathons, now doing sprints. Uh, it points to, I think, the fever pitch in domestic enthusiasm for robots. But what I found so fascinating digging deeper into the data was the fact that actually a lot of the robots are not being bought by families or consumers. They're actually being bought by these government-backed, uh, training centers that do what is called teleoperation training data. So humans are remotely guiding these robots through physical tasks, and then they sell whatever data they generate from those tasks back to the robot makers to improve their AI. So in a way, it's this kind of circular model as opposed to, you know, direct-to-consumer or going directly into factories to replace workers. That— those are happening, but the lion's share, it seems, the demand is being fed into other sectors of the AI robotics economy. I thought that that was super interesting. And that Chinese domestic demand is still the lion's share of the robot demand coming from China. We haven't yet seen an upswing globally, but I think it's only a matter of time, just as we've seen for EVs before it.

Speaker E — The Prof G Pod with Scott Galloway · China Decode: Taiwan's Record Defense Budget, Evergrande's Life Sentence, and China's Robot Boom · 2026-08-25Oh, freedom, stability, a lot of, you know, less stress in my life. Just a major milestone, the finish line at the end of a marathon. It was gonna be just a great event.
Dave Ramsey — The Ramsey Show · Debt Isn't a Tool, It's a Trap · 2026-08-24Yeah, it's a total vicious cycle for sure. And I would say think about becoming a parent like you're preparing to run a marathon, not to the point that you become totally neurotic about it, but think about being healthy, Having things that are gonna prepare your body for this big shakeup that you're gonna undergo. And then once the baby comes, like take any opportunity to bond. Like I think a lot of men feel like I'm gonna avoid as many diapers as possible. Changing diapers seems gross, but it's also a chance to make eye contact with your baby and like really get to know them in a different way. So, you know, jump into those baby care opportunities, like find your own style. And, you know, make sure like the more windows you have to bond, the better you're going to feel like you know your baby and the more confident you're going to be. And then I would say give yourself grace, like know that this is hard, know that it's temporary, and know that you are, you know, you're sacrificing in the short term for a lot of long-term benefit.
Darby Saxby — The Diary Of A CEO with Steven Bartlett · The Scientist Who Scans Fathers' Brains: Parenthood Shrinks Your Brain, And Drops Testosterone 25%! · 2026-08-24But so it makes me wonder, you know, and like, in terms of MMA, there's guys today that their cardio is so insane that they've completely raised the bar. Merab Dvalishvili is the best example. Example. His cardio is so insane, he's completely raised the bar for what we thought was possible in a 5-round fight. I mean, this guy just has this fucking insane work ethic, and he's always in the gym, and he's always training, and his cardio is just so elite because it's just built upon layers upon layers upon layers. And it makes me wonder, we have this idea in our head that a person can only go so far, so hard for 5 rounds because you're gonna— you can't recover. I don't know if that's true. I have a feeling that much like these marathon runners and ultras and all these people that are run— doing triathlons and Ironman, that you can build up your endurance over time if you keep pushing and keep pushing, as long as your body doesn't break. And this is the real problem with MMA— your body can break. 'Cause, you know, you're wrestling and getting kicked and punched. But if you can build it, I think it's like everything else. It's layers upon layers. If you never let off the gas and you keep going, your body will adapt. Your body will adapt. Your body will adapt. And eventually, it'll get to a point where you could kind of go, like, 80, 90% for 5 rounds. Which would be fucking terrifying. Which is fucking terrifying. And Merab is kind of almost there. How old is he? He's older now.
Joe Rogan — The Joe Rogan Experience · #2544 - Chris Williamson · 2026-08-21Yeah, and actually the, the chemical products, refined products that human beings and consumers and companies interact with, like jet fuel or gasoline, they actually are stubbornly high, but the price of oil has just been lower. So the refining margins have been really, really high. So like, very high. Marathon Petroleum Corp. Luke, how do you think that this war impacts the economy over the next 6 months? Like, the economy in America is in some sense because of AI booming, and so it's been very resilient to the high price of oil, but but what is the impact on asset markets, whether it's oil or gold or bonds or stocks, the consumer, just over the next 6 to 12 months, how do you think the impact is?
