Yeah. I mean, Walmart already has an agentic shopping app. I think it's called Sparky. Amazon has one too. That's not a big box, but you know, online retail. There's two sides of the story here. There's discovery and there's actual purchases. And, and one study I read said about 60% of consumers are using agentic AI apps for discovery, meaning comparing products, researching products, seeing what they need. But when it comes to actually completing a purchase through an agentic AI, uh, or an AI agent, it's in— we're in the low teens to, you know, in, in some cases the high single-digit percentages of, of customers are actually using it. The real issue is, is trust. It's not the tech. The tech is there. Um, you know, how do you set spending caps? What happens if your agent buys something you don't want? How easy is it to cancel that? Can you instantly, you know, reverse the transaction, or do you have to do what my least favorite part of online shopping and get the package, process a return, bring it to your FedEx store? Uh, you know, so it's a trust issue. Agentic shopping is working mostly for repeat purchases or things you don't really have to consider, say like you know, subscription products, groceries, you know, an agent could reorder my laundry detergent once every couple weeks. That's where it's working. No one's using an agent to say, okay, pick a couch for me and buy it. So that's really the big trust factor and the, you know, do I have like the, an easy process to veto the purchase if I don't want it? But I mean, yeah, it's, they're definitely using it. It's definitely ramping up. but you need better data to make these work and you need consumers to trust them to get the better data. So it's kind of like a, a what happens first scenario.

There's been many, many great leaders and I've had many great mentors along the way. I'd like to look at it from, as a leader, I admire the logistics operators. Healthcare is not delivering packages, but we can learn a lot from organizations like UPS and FedEx, they have really figured out that the customer doesn't care how complicated things are. What's most meaningful to them is they get their package when they want it, or the recipient of a package they send gets it when they need that recipient to get it. So patients want exactly that from us. You know, healthcare's got a long way to go. Unfortunately, healthcare We typically as an industry are slow learners and we're slow adopters to change and new technologies. But I think when we look at accessibility, we absolutely have to be able to leverage what all those logistics operators have learned and be able to accept patients more quickly and more seamlessly. We need to be able to care for them more quickly and more seamlessly, and we have to be able to provide them with a much better experience because what we unfortunately often don't recognize is the fact that people come to us when they have to, not because they want to. And I think the problem is that the only thing that patients actually come to us for, which is a happy and a happy event and something they look forward to, is when a child's being born. You know, other than that, our customers, our patients are in pain, and they're anxious and they don't necessarily want to be with us. So we need to be able to make that as easy and seamless as possible with the best possible experience that they can have.

So, you know, and this is what companies are going to discover and more and more companies are discovering this and, you know, they're going to incorporate more and more AI into their business to make their employees more productive. Because it reduces headcount over time. It may not reduce physical headcount, like I'm going to lay off a bunch of people because AI, that may be the case, but it may not be. It just may mean that the amount of productivity per employee goes up. So as a business where my cost, my highest cost of running a business is employees. And if I can increase their productivity so I can just reduce headcount or reduce new headcount, not old headcount, but new headcount. By just 1 or 2 people. That's a huge profitability increase for my business because once you start paying salaries and benefits and time off and all the other stuff that goes with an employee, they're incredibly expensive. And that's what companies are going to be looking to adopt over the future. And look, this is very young. You know, people tend to forget that when the first, when the internet first came out, everybody was saying the same thing. Oh, it's a fad. It's not going anywhere. Why? Because when I got onto my, my TRS-1000 computer back then, my Tandy 1000 computer, and I logged onto the internet through 14.4 dial-up, dial up, I could see a bill, I could see a bulletin board that had some messages on it. That's all I could do with the internet. If I wanted a video game, it was a text-based video game written in BASIC or written in C++. It was so basic, everybody's like, what is the use of this? Same thing when FedEx first came around. Who needs FedEx? Do people really need an overnight delivery for their package? How many people can't live without today? So the point is, is that yes, we're still very young in AI and the future value of AI right now is a big guess.
