It's more of, let's say you order the lamp, it's delivered, right? You call and you say, hey, send me a new one. Yeah, they're going to send you that new one, but then they're going to file a claim with FedEx or UPS, whoever broke it. Right. And a lot of times a human's filing that. If it gets denied the first time, they'll just say it was denied. Yeah, well, we'll try 3 times. And so a lot of times on the second or third, we're getting it through. Yep. And/or you can think of what if we have to reach out to you and ask for a picture of the damaged lamp? Or, you know, on, you know, one of our largest customers is one of the biggest grocers in the United States. A lot of times the complexity of the things like, let's say it's a cold temperature breach that we have to go find from just the fact-finding and the documentation is pretty deep. And if they forget some of that, technically it might not be approved. And so it's more on the approval side.

They actually talked about the man being strong. They were trying to figure out how to make it so that there was a bit of a mismatch with, with fuel and their business. And I will say it, I actually would buy a little bit right here. They are the best. And then let it come in. My child trusts FedEx Freight, you know, owns the spinoff of FedEx. FedEx barely down. I would buy FedEx down 5%.

And yet everybody makes out and we know that what we saw from your quarter, I I thought was the breadth of the partnerships that are making money. A lot of companies, they come up with partnerships, and even some ones that you and I both know are very good, but they're not meaningful. But I think your partnerships uniquely are copied by others and make people a lot of— Michael Dell, FedEx, Federal Express. I check on these a year after that I talk with you, and they are still, you know, they're making money.

Jordi Hays · TBPN · The "Pacing AI" Debate | Nico Wittenborn, Scott Keogh, Mitchell Green, David Rosenthal & Ben Gilbert, Faraj Aalaei · 2026-09-14Well, I just want to let you know that, like I said, you are in This is what you're supposed to be doing. And to me, what just happened out there proved it. The timing of it proves it. And like, I know what it's like, man. Every time I see a FedEx truck around here, I'm like, oh shit, here comes another one. But, uh, but like I said, um, there is nobody better for you than Tim Barlettori. That man is a force to be reckoned with. So I, I just, I hope that puts you at ease a little bit. And, um, like, that dude is not gonna let anybody fuck with you, I guarantee it. So anyways, I'm sorry that happened, man, but it is— we're doing what we're supposed to be doing, and that, that email proves it, that it came in. Right then. Yeah. And that you checked it right then, right before we walk in the door after the break. So, man, wild, wild. I can't believe that. I can't believe I'm saying I can't believe, but you know what I mean? It's just, it's just, yeah, synchronicities. But Well, Christian, we're getting ready to get into the incident. Yeah. And I know this is going to be heavy, and, um, but I got you another present before it gets heavy. All right, let me grab it, man. Have you seen one of these?

Lennar weighs in on Wednesday. Carnival reports Thursday. In the news this weekend, AI creators are hitting the brakes as worries about rogue agents have rapidly evolved into existential alarm. Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei said that the progress of improving AI model capabilities should be slowed down. Over the last few months, I have become convinced that fully addressing the risks requires even more prudence, not just investing in risk prevention, but pacing the rate of capabilities advancement so that risk prevention has time to keep up, he wrote Saturday. This comes on the heels of AI scientists assigning a better than 10% probability that AI could wipe out humanity as companies hurdle towards AGI and recursive learning. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman then posted, "I agree with Dario that we need to pace the frontier. This has been a primary topic of discussions we've had at OpenAI in recent weeks. Committing to having independent evaluators with employee-like access is a great idea, and we will do the same." Altman also told Fortune that with current safety concerns, this year would not be a good time for OpenAI to go public. Tech analyst Dan Ives said this is an important step for the industry around more self-regulation on the AI model pace, but the reality is China is not slowing down anytime soon. The pace of innovation will be a focus of the tech industry/beltway with sovereign AI key, he said. And for income investors, FedEx and UnitedHealth go ex-dividend on Monday. Kim Kahn · Wall Street Breakfast · Fed faces a rate hike reckoning · 2026-09-13Are we getting rich off the income tax? Are we getting rich off the payroll tax? How do we get rich by taxing ourselves? He's trying to pretend still to this day, he's lying that the Canadians and the Mexicans and the Chinese and the Europeans are paying our tariffs. They're not. I mean, I just went over when I bought this $250 product from Europe and it came FedExed. The next day I got the bill for the tariff, 100% of the tariff. FedEx said, here's your Here's the tariff, pay it. And by the way, here's our fee to process your payment, which jacked up the tariff by 60%. So not only did I pay all the tariff, I paid more than the tariff. The Europeans paid nothing. I paid it all. Thanks to Trump, that's what's happening. In fact, you know, during this convention— I even hate to use the word— but during this event He was talking about slapping tariffs on the French because he said, look, I'm gonna go to all these countries, and I think this had to do with the drug prices. So maybe I'm jumping, as I had that on my list, I'll move it up because I mentioned it. But one of the other lies that he told was that we now pay the lowest prices in the world for drugs, that before he was elected we paid the highest prices, and maybe that was true, but now we pay the lowest prices.
Peter Schiff · The Peter Schiff Show Podcast · I'm Banned From Fox for This Forecast... It Just Came True · 2026-09-13That's right. Like the line of reasoning for that case is always everything up until now, then something happens that no one can quite articulate and then fast takeoff. So I don't believe that that's going to happen. I do think that model progress is happening faster than ever before. But if you look at something like economic diffusion, you know, I grew up in a small town. I went back home last summer, like people's lives haven't changed that much. So if nothing else, the sort of slow rate of economic diffusion will catch it. I think the other thing that's underdiscussed, Lenny, is, you know, how many problems are truly intelligence-bound? Like if you had a, you know, a data center of PhDs working at FedEx or Domino's Pizza, are they going to be like exponentially dominating supply chain and pizzas? Like, I don't think so. So I think we might be overestimating how many problems are intelligence-bound versus bound by other things.

Speaker E · Mad Money w/ Jim Cramer · Mad Money w/ Jim Cramer 9/9/26 · 2026-09-09Americans were expected to pay the tariffs, just like I paid my tariffs. I went over last podcast, I got a product imported from, um, Europe, and then FedEx sent me a bill for the tariff, and then they sent me— and in the bill was more money they charged me to process the tariff. They didn't send the bill to the producer in Europe. They didn't say, hey, you know, you got to pay this tariff that we had to charge Peter Schiff, European company. You need to send us more money. No, they sent the bill to me. They didn't send the bill to the producer. I got the bill, the American consumer. And again, not only did I pay the tariff 100%, I paid the extra cost to process the tariff. So if there was no tariff, there would have been no processing fee. I would have just got the FedEx package and that would have been the end of it. Instead, I get a FedEx package and the day— next day I get a bill for the tariffs and for the tariff processing fee. But the trade deficit with China went down because American— Chinese goods got more expensive for Americans. Now, what did I say was going to happen? I'm not like talking about what happened after the fact. I predicted it before the fact. I said that China was gonna be fine because it was a big world out there, and if Americans couldn't afford to buy Chinese products, somebody else would happily buy them instead of us. See, Trump kept saying We got all the cards, like we're the biggest consumer. Anybody can consume. The easiest thing you can do is be a consumer. I mean, anybody who has a family— you have any kids? Do they have problems consuming? No, they consume everything. They don't produce. All they do is consume. If you're married, if you have a non-working spouse— I mean, my wife is a great consumer. She's consuming every single day, right? But, you know, the hard part is to earn the money that she spends, to earn the money that my kids spend, because they don't earn anything, right? Uh, and so I kept saying that this is nonsense. The, the cards are held by the producer. That is the hard part in the whole transaction.
Peter Schiff · The Peter Schiff Show Podcast · The Bond Market Is About to Break... And Stocks Go With It · 2026-09-09You know, look, I think the biggest one is going to be the ability of companies to actually leverage these more advanced models. This is, this is the frontier reestablishing itself. Right. You know, open— these open source models caught up over the course of the last 2 or 3 months. The— we're now seeing the frontier re-advance in a way where it is encouraging for what it means for U.S. companies and for the applications that we're going to see here. So that by far is the most important. We have not just tech and media and telecom companies here. We also have some of the companies that are most aggressively leading the implementation of it. We've got FedEx here and C.H. Robinson and companies, Wonder on the private side that are actually leading the implementation of AI and robotics. So that's a big threat that we're, that we're pulling on. And then of course, the cybersecurity stuff ends up being critically important because, you know, that is the concern, right? You talk about alignment and what that means. Alignment go, go, going the wrong way means that we end up with agents that aren't bound by the sandboxes that they're put in. And if, and if they don't have the right alignment, there's a lot of, a lot of negative outcomes that you could see, particularly for financial institutions.
