  1. Hey, Justin or Luke, this is Daniel from Jacksonville, Florida. Thank you for all the work you all do on the show. It's always a really great listen. I have a question on ticker symbol GOLD, and I think you referenced this stock before. So I've started a specific position in Barrick Gold over the last couple of months. I was curious, would you look elsewhere, or do you think gold, specifically ticker symbol GOLD, is still a solid choice? Thank you, and I look forward to hearing your answer.

  4. Yeah, we actually own Barrick Gold. Its ticker symbol used to be GOLD. Now it's B, but yeah, it's, it's been rallying. It's a, it's a great name. It does have some copper exposure. Which I like. Definitely want a little bit of that. But overall it is— let me see, just trying to pull it up on a different system.

  5. I'm going to give you the breakdown. So let's see, 8, about 9% is copper, 56% is gold ore here in the United States, 15% is gold ore in Africa. Basically 90% of the business is gold, a nice little sprinkle, like I said, about 9-10% is in copper. So I like that little juice as well. Add the copper aspect, earnings are supposed to be up 50% this year, 14% extra to $4.12. It's a $47 stock. So 11 times earnings and the company's growing earnings rapidly, has pretty minimal debt, about $11 billion in net debt on a $77 billion market cap. That's fine. Free cash flow is $5.6 billion and obviously rising with copper and gold prices. Turn equity 26%. So yeah, Barrick Gold, big fan. We own it for clients. The next Invest Talk, we look into this question: why is the dollar weakening? What multi-month lows mean for your purchasing power. We will break down why the dollar is under pressure, who wins, who loses, and what a sustained dollar slide would mean for American investors. That story is for tomorrow. But for now, I'm Justin Klein. I'm ready to take your calls now at 888-99-CHART. At KPP Financial, accountability means more than advice. It means we invest alongside you through our parallel investing approach. When we recommend an investment for clients, one or more KPP principals invest their own capital at the same time. Same day, same price, same percentage. If your portfolio moves, ours does too. That is alignment. That is transparency. That is the KPP difference. 6. Yeah. This kind of links with what I said before, which is you should own gold. We own it through the miners. We buy individual miners, but if you don't want to do the research, you want to just own some of the large miners that are out out there, this is a good collection of them. The top holding is Agnico Eagle, then Newmont, Barrick, Wheaton Precious Metals, Franco-Nevada's in there, Kinross Gold, some of the bigger names with market caps in the tens, if not hundreds of billions of dollars. So yes, I think this is a good way to get exposure, especially if you have none. Now, should you do cash-secured puts? Well, the issue with that is that you may not get assigned unless there's a large pullback in gold and gold miners, which certainly could happen. We've had a good run as of late. It had support back in July, early July. What do we bottom out at? About $70 per share. Now we're already up to $102 and change, and that's just in the past few weeks. So it's a little bit overbought in the short term. Would like to see a bit more bit of volatility, a bit of pullback just to get back in. But once again, are you going to get put it exactly? I don't know if that's really going to happen. So I think adding cash-secured puts is not a bad idea, but I wouldn't use that as a sole way to get in because you may not get assigned. And yeah, you'll keep a little of that premium on the put, but you want upside. That's what this is about. There's a lot of volatility. You have to know that. You have to know that volatility is the name of the game in the miner, in the gold miner world, any of the commodity stocks, they have high volatility. You have to be comfortable with that. But in an environment like this where debasement is the name of the game of, of our financial system, there's the right tail of that volatility that is being experienced right now. And the right tail is the positive outcome. Most people, when they hear volatility, they think left, they think left tail, they think negative. But this is the right tail and things are looking up for the space.
