Who is hitting the brakes and then why? And that data is not coming out and it's not even coming out in the IPO. They're never gonna share the churn data. When companies become very robust, they kind of get enough institutional holdings that a company like Netflix or Verizon has to start reporting on churn. I think these guys are going to be able to— Anthropic's of the world, you know, Grok's of the world, OpenAI's, Anthropic's— they're not going to need to give us how many people are unsubscribing or how those trends are going for the major accounts.

You know, you would think that the more people that you can get that would be able to figure out a way through something very difficult where your mind wants to quit, your body wants to quit, the more people that you could figure out how to train to that position, the better. Or is it like— I have friends that are MMA coaches, that don't want to work with anybody who needs a mental coach. Interesting. They're like, you need a mental coach, you're in the wrong business. And they say that, like, those two good— those guys are too unreliable. They'll tell it to you, like, you need a mental coach, like, you're too in your own head, you're not gonna be able to perform. Yeah, there's guys are gonna be able to lose, dust themselves off, figure it out, and come back and be stronger. And then there's some guys that, like, every big moment is— the moment overwhelms them, and they're, they're just They just cave to the pressure. They just can't handle it. And then they go through some sort of mental coaching session, and— but the core, their personality, whatever it is that's about them, what makes them them, is just fragile for whatever reason. And the question is, I wonder if they've ever tried to engineer a program to strengthen people's psychology, just the same way you can strengthen people by lifting weights or by running or whatever. I wonder if there's a— like, there was a concerted effort to say, like, "Well, we have so many people crashing out. What if we had 50% less people crashing out? A Russian court sentenced an opposition politician to 11 years and 1 month in a penal colony for speaking against protest against President Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine. The latest anti-war figure to be jailed in a broader crackdown on dissent, Lev Schlossberg, a deputy chairman of the liberal Yablovka Party, received the sentence today after being convicted under Russia's laws against disseminating false information and discrediting the military. Back in Washington, the Supreme Court has once again rejected President Trump's push to overturn a jury finding he sexually abused and defamed writer E. Jean Carroll. That leaves intact a $5 million award for Carroll after the justices refused to take up the the president's appeal in June. The high court still has to decide whether to overturn a separate $83.3 million verdict for Carroll in a second defamation case from comments the president made while in office. That decision could come this fall. The Supreme Court has also refused to let Verizon try to recoup $47 million it paid after the FCC accused it of privacy violations. The telecom giant says it only paid because it was misled by how the FCC described a so-called forfeiture order at the center of the clash. President Trump says he told the Pentagon to substantially reduce joint military exercises with South Korea, just as a 10-day drill with about 18,000 Korean troops is getting underway. Is for the masses, LLMs will be commoditized. I say that with reasonable amount of confidence. Obviously, nobody knows exactly, but what I think will happen is you're just going to ask an AI agent to do something for you, but you don't really care about the underlying tech answering your question. It'll all mostly be the same and work pretty well. And it'll be similar to me that in the same way that there's just not really a huge difference between having Verizon or AT&T, right? I'm not hugely concerned about which cellular provider. They both just work. And so I continue to think that really all the money is in serving businesses with the best AI products. And really think about how many different enterprises brush up against Alphabet's product suite, from Gmail to Google Drive. I think that positions them very, very well. But anyways, Chinese competition fears, has not yet shown up in Google stock, I wouldn't say, because the market has found a new appreciation, not only for Gemini, but also for Google's cloud business, which has benefited hugely from this entire AI race. And I certainly didn't capture all these different variables in my model last year, and yet it seemed very unlikely to me that Google would just stand on the sidelines while LLMs disrupt its core search business. And Directionally, I felt like it was their game to lose. And sure, they could end up losing it. They could blockbuster it. But if you can buy maybe the best business in the history of capitalism for less than 20 times earnings, when they are facing competitive threats, but they have sort of the advantage to be able to, as long as they don't mess it up, they should be okay. I'm happy to make that bet all day. So I'd like to think I invoked a little bit of Charlie Munger and bought a fantastic business at a fair price. That's how I thought about it at the time. I don't know, maybe in hindsight, it was probably more than a fair price. It was a pretty generous price from the market.
