  1. Yeah. And HOKA is actually, I think this year is gonna pass UGGs as being the larger business. Um, so it's pretty incredible what's happened and they're both, still relatively small. UGGs is kind of mature, but HOKA, there's still growth potential there for those businesses. But at some point you get to a critical mass, right? We saw this with Under Armour, which was the growth darling for a decade, and then it hit a critical mass. There were a lot of stumbles the company made along the way trying to reinvent itself. The things Lou talked about with like managing your supply chain and retail relationships and all that kind of stuff, and it's so important to manage those in relationships to get your products in front of consumers wherever they are. And grow as quickly as you can before you get to that critical mass. I think there's some like risk-reward opportunity with a company like, like Deckers especially. On, I'm not so sure. I know it's a big fan of you, so I'm kind of trolling you a little.

  2. Yeah, they're, they're still making money. But you know, you could have said the same thing about Under Armour a handful of years ago where you keep looking at it and going, ah, this is a great value, this is a great value, and it just keeps, keeps declining. But we We'll see where things end up. All right, I want to talk about Netflix, the company we're going to talk about in just a moment. How many NFL games is Netflix going to have in 2030? Part of the context here is there's some outs in the NFL contract, uh, towards the end of this decade. So 2030, 2031, Lou, are they going to have more or less than 12 NFL games per year?

  3. Under Armour 2013, which which was massive and splashy and worked for a while for Steph, not, not necessarily long term for Under Armour. Right. For years it was fine for Under Armour.

  4. Is he going to be super involved the way that Steph Curry was involved at Under Armour?

  5. The other question, I think, and by the way, I mean, What Nike, I think, would argue is that they have a roster of all the biggest athletes and they're not just going to bet on one, you know, one big one, which is what On is doing here. And I think the question is, is this a bullish sign for On? You know, there's been a lot of commentary as well. Jefferies, which has been negative on this name, actually looks at it more like a Steph Curry for Under Armour, which is— which was not good. You know, one global star unable to sort of lift an entire franchise, which they do have to build from scratch now. So it's going to be an uphill battle. They have their Investor Day next week and we've got the CEO on, so we'll talk about it.

  6. These are the new Leaning's. So, so the, the last time we spoke, which was last year, you still had your long-term deal with Under Armour. You haven't really talked about that in length about what happened there. I'm just wanting to ask you, why exactly did that partnership end?

  7. I think it was a great run. And I know the— when you get into business with Under Armour, I had a great experience over the 12, 13 years I was there. Developed Curry brand underneath Under Armour, was able to take my brand out and search for a new partnership that for me is looking at the longevity and legacy of what I think is possible, not just here, uh, in the US but globally, um, across basketball, golf, lifestyle, and training. And, uh, Leaning's been an unbelievable partner. It's, um, it's a, it's a long-term, you know, scope of what we're trying to do. It's kind of crazy just from a, a product perspective. I got to try out a bunch of different shoes.

  8. So it was your your call to end the partnership with Under Armour?

  9. Yeah, my question is about Under Armour. I understand that Kevin Plank is planning on coming back, or he's come back. Do you see how that's going to do for the company or the stock?

  10. Yeah, you know, Under Armour is such a tough thing, and I'm a big fan of Kevin Plank, but frankly, they're not ready. Not with Nike struggling, not with On struggling, not with Hoka struggling. I don't see how Under Armour is struggling. So I'm going to say not yet, Satan. Let's go to Will in Colorado.

  11. Yeah, I mean, the numbers weren't great, but I mean, you're right. To me, the sharp decline, it's almost as much as what management said. Not just the numbers. The CEO called out the "increasingly promotional athletic footwear and apparel market." He said that conditions deteriorated as the quarter progressed, which is something you really don't like hearing from management. He also said Foot Locker has a lot of exposure directly to the categories getting discounted the most. Just a couple of things to point out here. Dick's stock was down 10% year-to-date going into this. Now, it's really underperforming. It's clearly a cyclical problem in the footwear space. If you look at Nike, Under Armour, even Academy Sports, which is I would call their closest direct comparison, and On Holdings, they're all underperforming too. You know, Dick's has a large buyback authorization, uh, is one of the key things I read in the earnings report, uh, $3 billion. I'm curious to see if they accelerate their repurchases to kind of send the market a signal here.

  12. They're definitely not going to reach the scale of Nike. I mean, I think, you know, we all similar ages, you know, growing up in the late '80s and into the '90s, Nike was kind of everywhere. And the model there has just completely shifted because you're going from a supply-driven environment where the supply is the power, the having, you know, Jordan as a sponsorship, having TV commercials, all that kind of stuff, everybody was wearing Nike. Now you're in much more of a case where there can be individualized ads with those direct-to-consumer sales on Instagram or on Google, where Matt's going to see a different ad from me and we're going to maybe buy different products as a result. So I think there is going to be more of kind of a disparate market. And the question for these companies is going to be, where do you fit in that market and what is your scale going to be? You're right that On may be reaching a point where this isn't gonna be a 30% compounding company anymore. But if they can compound their revenue growth at 15 to 20% and do so at a really, really high margin, that can still be a really phenomenal business. I think when you're looking at On Holding, when you're looking at Nike or Lululemon, the question you have to ask yourself is what are they going to be and what are they showing themselves to be? On showed you this quarter, hey, all that talk that we had about pricing power, about keeping margins high. That's exactly what we're doing. And what we're doing is we're giving up sales as a result. But that means that in 5 years, this is still going to be a premium brand. They're not going to go down that slippery slope of Under Armour, for example, which has been disastrous for investors. So when you get to that DTC world, you've got to look at, yes, yes, the, the pie is smaller for an on-holding to reach, but as long as you're reaching the customers at a very profitable level, that can still be a really phenomenal business. So it's a little bit of both. And I don't necessarily think that that means that they're going to give up sales or give up margin long-term.

  13. White House economic adviser Kevin Hassett on Bloomberg Radio and Television. On Wall Street, markets are giving the Fed more wiggle room as well, now pushing back bets on the next rate hike to December. The Dow is up a tenth of a percent. The Nasdaq up nearly 1%. The S&P up nearly a half percent. The 10-year Treasury yield at 4.65%. The 2-year Treasury yield at 4.20%. Shares in Sweetgreen down nearly 10% after the salad chain cut its annual outlook due to reduced consumer demand for fresh prepared foods due to the cyclospora outbreak. Under Armour forecasts a sharper revenue decline than previously expected. Shares are also down nearly 10% after the company said it's dealing with a challenging consumer demand environment. And Wendy's is pulling its forecast for the year as it works on a turnaround plan. The company is also cutting its dividend to free up more money to invest back into the business. Shares of Wendy's down nearly 2%. Republican Senator Bill Cassidy's Cassidy said he will support Todd Blanche to be the next attorney general, likely paving the way for his confirmation. Blanche winning Cassidy's support is likely to be decisive in resolving the weeks-long saga over Trump's decision to pick his former personal attorney to lead the Justice Department.

  14. Well, let's talk about one of the big businesses. Or one that aspires to be a big business, and that would be Under Armour. It's the athleisure company, athletic wear company. Maybe athleisure is pushing it a little bit. Poonam Goyal is senior U.S. e-commerce and retail analyst here at Bloomberg Intelligence. And Poonam, Under Armour, it feels like it's been this reorganization restructuring story for a while now. Where are we in that reorganization restructuring story for Under Armour? Because the stock performance today shows that there's still some way to go.

  15. Yeah, I was wondering about why demand was softening with Under Armour. I know Under Armour is kind of a middle-of-the-market brand. Is part of what's happening here maybe that the demand for kind of middle-of-the-road brands is softening while maybe demand for higher-end brands is gaining ground or is Is, is it something else entirely?
