  2. Looking at T. Rowe Price. Now this is a name. They provide financial services, but mainly they make money by owning mutual fund, fund families. They own, let's see what they own. If I remember correctly. Excuse me. Gosh, these hiccups are crazy. Okay, I don't have the fund families right in front of me, but I know it is a good business. But it's a good business that is— continues to get weaker and weaker. Return on equity is about 19%, which is good, but it had been as hot, you know, more like the mid-20s to high, uh, to low 30s in profitability. So now it's in the low te— in the high in the high teens. Free cash flow, $2.8 billion. They have no debt in their balance sheet. Hot, high free cash flow yield, over 10%. That's great, nice dividend yield. However, once again, it is a bit of a melting ice cube. Net income is well off its high in 2021 at $3.2 billion. Now it's at $2.2 billion. The chart is just kind of neutral, so it's not bullish, not bearish. This would be a play really on the downfall of index investing and a resurgence in active management. And there's certainly an argument that that is becoming more prevalent, bigger odds of that, of that emerging as we enter this geopolitical dysfunction. So that's really the play here. If you think that's going to be the case, then I would buy it. If you think indexes will continue to dominate, well then I would hold off. We're heading to a break. 3. Yields ticking higher, and that kind of is one of the challenges for this market in a world with global interest rates higher. It's not just the US, folks, it's around the world. What does that mean for global stocks? Well, one of the folks we can chat with is Sebastian Page. He's co-head of global investments and CIO of this little shop down in Baltimore called T Rowe Price, one of my all-time favorite spots. Some really smart people down there over the years I've worked with. Sebastian, what are the conversations you're having with global investors here who are saying, hey, rates higher for longer, what does that mean for various asset classes out there? How do you think about that?

  4. Paul, thank you. And first of all, I'm dreaming of the day where you'll refer to T. Rowe Price as a big shop. We're at $1.9 trillion. We're working on getting too big, Paul. T. Rowe is like my biggest and best client for like 30 years.

  6. James Seyfried from Bloomberg put this together, and I was kind of thinking of doing something similar, but he did it better than me because he used the headlines. All this stuff has happened in the last, I don't know, 6 months, I guess. So in the past week, Vanguard purchased Altruist for $4 or $5 billion. T. Rowe Price acquired FM Investments. We've had Alex Morris on our show a number of times. Goldman Sachs acquired Nios. We've had them on Talk Your Book before. Goldman Sachs also acquired Innovator. We've had them on the show before. Uh, First Eagle got acquired for $7 billion by Victory Capital. This is all total bull market behavior. Asset managers getting acquired, custodians, right? Building scale. Like these are the kind of headlines you see. This is rampant bull market behavior.
