Yes. Not only are they suggesting it, they did a press release that they did it. This Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile, they put out a press release that we— that's monopoly. That's the whole country. It's a cartel. It's a bit of the communications cartel. They put out a press release that says that we are talking to figure out How are we going to price the satellite communications that we need? Because they don't have it. So basically, they could not possibly have foreseen a gigantic demand coming for, for communication. Didn't see it. And so they haven't been investing. All they want to do is they want to keep their existing customers and they want to be able to retire and they want to pay a dividend. And that's, that's what they're doing. They're not risking anything.

It's always good to be with you. We're halfway through September. Today is Tuesday the 15th. I'm Julie Morgan. Macro Risk Advisors LLC is saying potential Federal Reserve rate hikes starting this week could trigger an 8-10% correction in the S&P 500. According to Bloomberg, Dean Kurnit, the chief executive officer and founder of MRA, said in a note to clients on Monday that there is a potential second leg in December. Kurnit added that rate hikes will compress margins in companies that cannot pass costs through and deliver a volatility shock to a market that is not positioned for it. The S&P 500 has fallen nearly 1% so far in September, historically its weakest month, amid concerns over elevated energy costs and recent inflation data that pushed the 10-year U.S. Treasury yield to its highest level in nearly two decades. Traders are now almost fully pricing in a quarter-point rate hike on Wednesday, up from about 60% odds a week ago. Kurnitz said a rate hike on Wednesday is likely to lead to more pain. He also said the current setup resembles 2018, when the S&P 500 peaked in September before plunging 10% over October and November. That year, Kurnat warned that the Santa Claus rally did not come, and the market took another leg lower in December, eventually falling nearly 20% from its peak. He said given that history, a defensive posture is the correct approach. Similar to 2018, he expects the market to take another leg lower in December as multiple Fed hikes hit into a K-shaped low-churn economy. The S&P 500 is heavily concentrated in mega-cap technology and AI-related stocks, with Nvidia, Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Alphabet, Broadcom, Meta Platforms, and Tesla among its largest constituents. Nvidia has fallen over 4% so far in September. Amazon is down 2.4%. Broadcom is down 6.9%, and Tesla has dipped 2.4%. On the other hand, there are a couple of gainers. Apple is up 5%, and Alphabet has gained 3% in the month so far. Verizon Wireless and T-Mobile have agreed to end their legal battle. The two companies have been in litigation over advertising campaigns that each company said misled consumers about the savings available when switching wireless providers.

Discussions between the carriers had also explored ways to handle similar advertising disputes in the future. Costco has sharply raised the price of its Kirkland Signature Full Synthetic Motor Oil and introduced purchase limits. The 10-quart package, which contains two 5-quart bottles, now sells for about $57.99, almost double the prior range of $30 to $35. Members are generally limited to 2 packages per week, with some local listings indicating a limit of 1 purchase at a time. Costco has also reportedly imposed limits on Mobil 1 Full Synthetic 6-quart packs, which sell for around $44. Play is down 14% after higher food and beverage, payroll, and pre-opening costs pushed the company to an unexpected Q2 loss. I don't think they provision all their users with it, just the people that pay the most. Our plan is to leverage, instead of slices of T-Mobile spectrum or slices of other telco spectrum across the globe, we want to leverage the one that we paid a lot of money for. With the stock increasing in price, it paid more because there was some stock involved there. Charlie did all right there. He's a very loyal customer, though. He's been a customer of SpaceX for almost 20 years. So we want to leverage that to make sure that there are no dead zones. And it's shockingly, there are a lot of places in the United States where you can't— I mean, without a Starlink service, you can't get cell coverage. It's really terrible. The rest of the world is not that bad. It's particularly bad here in the United States. Texas has huge dead zones. That's where I live. I'll never forget, I was on a call with Elon, and I kept dropping because of these dead zones. I was like, I'm either going to get fired or— Yes, by Spectrum. —or I'm putting a Mini on my car. And so now I have Starlink on my car.

Got— I mean, got hit last week. When Comcast at the conference that I was attending actually talked about pricing from competitors in fiber that was non-competitive, or I think Jason Armstrong, the CFO of Comcast at the time, calling it irrational. But there it is. And I actually asked John Stanky about it because of course AT&T has had a very major fiber buildout. And he says, well, you know, when you, when you put it together with T-Mobile, maybe the, the economics are different for us than they are for some of our competitors. But that had another negative impact on a stock that has just had a brutal run. And it's not just Carl, of course, as you well know, this year it's been a long, long period of time. Something I discussed with the CEO, Chris Winfrey, last week when I did get a chance to sit down briefly.

David's done an unbelievable job up there. Everybody, I recommend the AMAT interview. So that was really important in terms of DRAM pricing.
