Now, a change could benefit Nexstar Media's acquisition of Tegna. The combination of these two broadcasters would reach roughly 80% of U.S. households, well over the current limit of 39%. And at the World Cup, defending champs Argentina came from behind late in the match to defeat England 2-1 in the semifinal. Argentina will now face Spain Sunday afternoon in the World Cup final. And Fox Business Reuters is reporting President Trump is planning to attend. And that is news when you want it. With Bloomberg News Now, I'm Doug Krizner, and this is Bloomberg.

  5. We're looking at Nexstar Media Group, NXST. It's a name that we had owned for clients at some point, but no longer do. Part of that had to do with its kind of debt levels that continue to grow, profitability that's been up and down. They earned $21 in 2024, $24 in 2022., but only earned $9.64 in 2023, $3 last year. And a lot of it has to do with actually political ads. So what they do is they own a lot of local broadcast networks. So if you have cable still or DirecTV or some sort of satellite provider, you, you probably have some local channels that serve local news, local content. And Nexstar a lot of times owns those local networks, and that might be your ABCs, your NBCs, et cetera. And usually those, once again, are networks that sell a lot of political ads. So in this year, in a midterm year, earnings are expected to go up dramatically, $33.65, but then drop to $21 next year. Which looks like it's still cheap, even on $21. Problem once again is the debt, about $12 billion in net debt. And it just went up, went from $6.6 billion to $12. I think they made an acquisition if I remember correctly. So it's very risky. It's one of the reasons we got out of it. We didn't like that level of debt. It's in a downtrend now. If interest rates go up, you know, that creates higher cost of capital, and therefore I would probably pass on it for now because of that debt. We don't like a lot of companies that have this level of debt. Let's take another voicemail question now.
