Newmont ($NEM) podcast mentions
Yeah, for sure. And definitely by the time we're finished this 14,000 meters of drilling on the east side, we'll be at that point. You know, I think, From where we're sitting, it's— we've got a strong geochemical correlation between the XRF arsenic results that we see and the gold values that we're seeing in assays. So the way we have things set up, I guess you'd say logistically on site, is the material that's drilled today, we've got XRF results on tomorrow morning, and it's giving us the ability to, to call an audible, if you will, occasionally to change the dip or the azimuth of these holes in order to increases our confidence in our targeting. So it's the first time that, you know, in my career that we've been able to have that information at our fingertips that rapidly. So I think that's really helping things from a targeting perspective. And then, you know, I think we're 8 holes into the Newmont trend at the south now. So the biggest part of what we're trying to accomplish in this phase of drilling at Mojave is to more pierce points into the bodies, grow our knowledge of the system and get to the point where, yeah, we'll, I think at the end of this program, the 3D model's gonna look pretty compelling. Maybe by the time we get our next release out here with some more Dragonfly results, we'll, we'll see where we're at there and start to draw interpreted structures onto these, to these sections that we're showing and get to the point where we've got a long section where, you know, it's quite obvious with what we're dealing with on the continuity of these structures.
Anthony Margaret · Mining Stock Daily · K2 Gold: Making Mojave Too Big to Ignore · 2026-09-10And here's what you need to know this morning. Lots of news out today. We'll start with Collective Mining. They released a maiden mineral resource for the Apollo deposit at the Guayabalas project last night. The bulk tonnage gold, silver, copper, tungsten deposit hosts 2.5 million ounces gold equivalent in the indicated category at 37 million tons grading 2.17 grams per ton gold equivalent, plus an additional 2.8 million ounces gold equivalent inferred. The company's executive chairman called it the largest new mineral resource stage discovery in Colombia since the Buritica deposit. With an environmental license application planned for the second half of 2027 and an aggressive ongoing drill program continuing to build on the resource. Collective Mining trades on the NASDAQ and the TSX, both under the symbol CNL. K2 Gold has reported results from 4 additional holes at the Dragonfly Zone at its Mojave Oxide Gold Project in California. With the best interval returning 27.43m of 4.08g/t gold. It included 15.2m of 5.3g/t, all coming from a pad step, uh, stepped out 40m west of the company's 2020 discovery hole. There was also a 3m interval grading 17.5g/t gold in an adjacent drill hole reported this morning. Results continue to confirm multiple stacked high-grade oxide gold structures open in all directions, with 8 more Dragonfly holes and 8 holes from the Newmont target at the south end of the, uh, gold— of the Eastside Gold Trend pending. K2 Gold trades on the Venture Exchange with KTO and on the OTCQX with KTGDF. Aldebaran Resources has reported a drill hole at its Altar copper-gold porphyry project in San Juan Province, Argentina, returning 513 meters at 1.06% copper equivalent. That was within a broader 1,257-meter intersection grading 0.66% copper equivalent. Big hole. Other results this morning included 1,323 meters of a 0.5% copper equivalent and 1,354 meters of 0.41% copper equivalent. Aldebaran Resources trades on the Venture Exchange with ALDE and on the OTCQX with ADBRF. District Metals has completed its inaugural 2,000-meter drill program at the Ostrich Island and Mokomage mineral licenses in central Sweden, with all 15 holes intersecting graphitic black shale interpreted to represent the alum shale formation. The work confirmed the effectiveness of the company's Mobile MT geophysical survey as a targeting tool, with shale horizons averaging 50 to 141 meters of composite downhole thickness across the two licenses.
Trevor Hall · Mining Stock Daily · Morning Briefing: Collective Publishes Maiden Resource for Apollo, Aldebaran Drill 513m of 1.06% CuEq · 2026-09-09And look at this cup formation. And then this is what I would say is a handle. Now watch for Eldorado to break through 50, and that'll be a cup and handle breakout. I could put up any number of mining stocks here. Wheaton Precious Metals, giant base, handle. Um, what else can I show you? Newmont, the only miner in the S&P 500, actually did make a new high the other day and pulled back and created a handle. So again, all these cup and handle formations for Franco Nevada, same thing. GDX, the index itself, same thing. Big cup handle, the handle's a little lower here. Watch for a breakthrough of $106 or so on GDX, and that would mean the cup and handle breakout would be complete. That would be the trigger. And just a 5-second disclaimer, we do need to say that none of these particular tickers are recommendations. Questions, talk to us about your specific situation. I'm just showing them to give you an idea of what we're looking at and how to track these things. The silver majors, SIL, looks similar, a little bit of a flatter cup and handle. SILJ, the juniors, similar. But just take a look at any of the big majors. They're all going to look like what I just showed you. Going back to AEM, this cup handle, watch for this handle to be broken out to the upside. Going back to GDX, That's the trigger point in my opinion, $106 or so on GDX. So I'll, I'll pause there.
Mike Preston · Thoughtful Money with Adam Taggart · Knock-On Effects Could Make This Worse Than The Dot-Com Bust | David Rosenberg · 2026-09-06If you have a small business and you perform a service, you can tell your customers, pay me in gold. This is, this is my rate, here's how you pay me. And that's what I really want to do. I want to make gold used as money. People always want to tease me, hey Peter, no one's using gold as money. Okay, well, you can. Let's get people using it as money because it works a lot better as money than fiat. Fiat had the advantage for a while, but now with technology it doesn't. And again, too, eventually we're going to have a token. I'm either going to have my own token, uh, gold token, tokenized gold, or I'm going to partner up with some existing tokens. But ultimately you'll be able to withdraw your T-Gold not only in physical gold, which you could do right now— anybody who has an account with T-Gold can withdraw physical gold right now, and silver. Eventually you'll be able to withdraw it in the form of a token that will be listed on various crypto exchanges. Oh, by the way, I forgot to even mention Bitcoin. Bitcoin was actually, uh, I think up slightly on the week, up about 2.4%, although it was down by about the same amount today. It's trading just under $80,000. So Bitcoin's bounced a bit. If you have any Bitcoin go to Shiv Gold and use it to buy gold and silver, right? We use BitPay and we can help you get out. Uh, also, again, let me remind everybody, Euro Pacific Asset Management— if you want to not only just own physical precious metals but you want to get into the mining stocks, these stocks have pulled back but they're well off their lows, but they still have quite a bit to make new highs, although Some stocks I mentioned on the podcast, I think it was last week, Newmont Mining hit a new all-time record high. I think that's just a leading indicator of what's going to happen to a lot more gold stocks, especially the smaller stocks. The junior miners, I think, are going to give you the biggest bang for the buck. That's why we have an oversized position in those junior miners in my own gold fund, the Euro Pacific Gold Fund, EPGIx, and in our gold separately managed accounts.
Peter Schiff · The Peter Schiff Show Podcast · Bond Yields Just Hit a 2007 High... Every Buyer Became a Seller · 2026-09-06Well, as you know, Trevor, we've had great support from the Zacatecas government from all levels, quite frankly, to try and move this forward. Where our property is, you know, it's probably one of the one of the towns that probably needs this project the most. And, you know, again, we've had— I think I told the story that daily the mayor calls the state government asking if the permit's been received yet. So again, it's because we've kind of been in our state of we need to do some exploration work, we need to do some work, but we're not going to spend any money till we have a permit. Right. So ultimately, at the end of the day, Everybody worked really hard. The government recognized that this was not a complicated permit and that the project was rather small compared to our, you know, very distinguished Penasquito mine. And we've got Fresnillo, we've got Newmont, we've got Orla, all with much bigger projects. And this one was a much smaller project from an environmental and water perspective. So again, You know, we're happy to get it and we're very thankful for all the hard work the state and the local administration has done to get this done. You know, it's a project which, you know, in 2001 or 2021, when the company bought it in 2020 and did the, the PEA, it was, you know, it was the valuation of Minera Alamos for a long time, you know, based on that number, you know, it was a project. And at these prices, it's worth $8 or $850 million just on the old study. So ultimately, you know, that's almost 2 times our market cap. So again, at the end of the day, it's an important milestone for the company. We got not only the land use change, we also got our NEA. We do have some ancillary permits. We do have lots of industrial water around the mine. We are applying and have applied with Conagua to get our own water. Which is available there. And, but, you know, again, this starts the process for us to now start drilling, to start doing some more test work, to start planning around it and getting a new study done and get that ready for kind of mid next year when Copperstone is, is built and operated.
Darren Blasuti · Mining Stock Daily · Mining Americas: Three Permitted Gold Projects, One Growth Plan · 2026-09-03Yes. So it's, look, as mining companies and gold mining company CEOs, we're always like talking how, you know, good and constructive we see the environment for the metal that we produce. But the first thing we do when we produce our gold is go and change it for paper, which is something that we like fundamentally disagree with. We're in such a constructive situation right now operationally that we don't have to sell all the gold that we produce. We can keep part of that gold and provide that extra exposure to our shareholders that invest in Mineros because they want to have exposure to the metal. So we see that as a very logical step. It's a step we think in the right direction for sure. But it has created significant noise where we're doing something relatively unusual. Very few mining companies do that. But if, if more gold mining companies had done that, they would have created a lot of value. Think of a Newmont having such a massive cash position in their balance sheet. If they had kept some of that in form of gold, you know, we're talking hundreds and hundreds of millions of dollars of extra value that could have been created for shareholders. So all banks, all major banks at least, have a very constructive view on gold. We're aligned with that view. We are not necessarily worried about the short-term noise that this can create. We're really focused on the long-term value that this can unlock. So we're building that bullion position because we don't have the necessity to sell all the gold that we're producing. We're selling the gold that we need to sell, and we have a healthy cash situation. But at the same time, we're going to have a bullion position as gold sitting in vaults in the US and Switzerland, and it's providing that extra exposure. It's protecting us against inflation. It's liquidity that we can tap for the right opportunity. So we're very happy with what we've done. We knew that it would create a You know, certain noise because simply, you know, the system is not prepared for that.
