Data centers makes a lot of sense to be the first thing that you do because you don't need to reenter a product. So with things like asteroid mining or with manufacturing in space or space hotels, they require this very expensive reentry process. Initially, what we actually started doing was space-based solar, so huge solar panels and and you beam that power down. And it's, it's a concept from, I think like the '60s, even Asimov in the '40s was writing about it. The problem with space-based solar is you actually lose 95% of the energy in transmission from space to Earth. And so for the first 2 months of the company, that was literally what we're doing. We were called Lumen Orbit because of that, that reason, luminosity in orbit. We were thinking, okay, once we get that power down, what are we going to be using it for? And even back in '23, most new energy projects were being built for data centers. So we were like, okay, well either directly or indirectly, this power is going to go into data centers. Let's rerun those numbers. So initially we'd run the numbers to know what's the launch cost break-even that makes sense for space-based solar. And we'd come to a number of like $50 a kilo. So then we reran the calculations. We were like, okay, let's spend a month figuring out what would the launch cost break-even need to be to make data centers in space break-even. And we came to a much closer to reality number of $500 a kilo. And that's what we think. Currently the breakeven launch cost is. Um, and so then we rapidly pivoted the company towards that.

St. Paul refers to St. Paul, in his letters, he refers to the fact that sanctifying grace is basically God indwelling in us, in our souls. It's a qualitative change. So how much we have him indwelling in us determines where we're at in heaven. Now, some of that is broken down into the 9 choirs of angels. So we're kind of in that, but there's also like different parts of heaven. So they call them parts, but it basically just means that there's certain people that will enjoy certain things more than others based upon on the kinds of virtues that they achieved in this life or the good actions that they did in this life. They'll just find certain things more enjoyable in Heaven. All of us will have the beatific vision, that is to see God face to face. And basically what that is, when you actually look at the, how the saints talk about the structure of this beatific vision, St. Paul talks about, I will see, him face to face, and I will know myself as I am known. So you actually see God inside God's mind. You actually see him. And so the way that works is, in order for that to happen, there can't be any medium between us and him. And so what he does is he takes him, he infuses in our minds this, um, for us, because we can't see him right now even though he's here. So what God does is he infuses us another, what they call the light of glory. He infuses in us. He strengthens our mind so that all of a sudden everything can just peel back. We're able to see spiritual realities in what they actually are. And then, but that lumen gloria basically means that He infuses that in our mind and at the same time He presses His very nature on our minds. So we see Him literally face to face. We see Him. That means that once you see Him, you can see everything He causes, everything that He's done, all the glory in His work in the created or all that, you're able to see it. We can't comprehend it all at once, but we can kind of look at it from different features.

Speaker E — Marketplace · What's driving up the 30-year Treasury yield? · 2026-07-22Well, I think going into the break, Jonathan, you referred to the results as fantastic, and I would agree with you. And I think the team did an excellent job executing, as you said. And it's not just in our wireless business. It was nearly 370,000 fiber net adds. That's a record for us in the this quarter. Look, what went right is what we told people was going to happen this year as we gave guidance for the next 3 years. We said because of the investments we've been making in this business over the last 5 years at a sustained and targeted level and the M&A work that we had done acquiring more spectrum and picking up some additional footprint from Lumen, that you should see a step up in growth as a result of those things. The team had the asset base it needed to execute. And drive growth at a faster level. And you saw the manifestation of that starting to happen here in this quarter. And it's showing up in accelerated service revenue growth. It's showing up in accelerated EBITDA growth. I would even go into our business segment and point out that we had growth in our strategic services for business for the first time in a very, very long time. And as a result of that, we expect that that's going to sustain itself through '28. So We're, we're executing well. We're hitting on all the cylinders in the engine. And when that happens, the business can deliver the kind of results you're seeing. And I'm pretty confident we can keep that moving going forward.

If you were to normalize it for the Lumen footprint that we just recently brought in, that's diluting the number a little bit. And as you know, you see in our report that's been ticking up steadily. And it's important because, one, those customers are more lucrative customers when they buy multiple products and services from us. Two, churn goes down. And that's one reason why you're starting to see our churn numbers improve this quarter because we're starting to get that benefit of that base that is buying both together from us. And 3, brand affinity, the customer's happiness with AT&T and their impression of the brand is much higher as a result of that because the products are better together. So it's really important we continue down that path. And it's frankly one of the most important things as you think about our competitive positioning moving forward. Because we can provide world-class networks in both wireless and fixed that tackle 98% of what a customer needs to do on the internet. Occasionally they walk off one of our networks. And as you look at our partnerships that we're working with the satellite industry, by this time next year we'll be able to solve that problem. And so we're the natural place for people to come and meet their needs on the internet and do it easily on one bill with one set of services and one support infrastructure. And we think we're in a great position as a result of that.
