  1. In the case of Western Digital, down 50%. Now, we like Micron for the travel trust. Why? We gluttons for punishment. Now, we bought it after spending some time at their Boise headquarters. We're situationally aware that the stock's not acting as well as we would like, but the business is great. We saw the same dynamic with the previously red-hot fiber optics companies. Lumentum Coherent down 25%. Corning dropped more than 15%. How about the broader semiconductor industry? After a vicious beatdown last week, the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index, or the SOX for short, finally broke its 8-session losing streak today. And the VanEck Semiconductor ETF broke a 9-day losing streak. Regular viewers know that these losing streaks can get real ugly for the semis. But man, this group was just hammered, hammered mercilessly. Separately, when you look at the main semiconductor capital equipment makers, they don't paint a pretty picture either. These are really great companies— supply materials, KLA, Lam Research, ASML. They were down anywhere from 8% to 19% last week. ASML, by the way, reported a really strong quarter. I thought it might turn things around. That was wrong.

  2. oh no, no, no. Here it's good. Coherent is good. Lumentum is good. And Corning's best. Don't feel like that. Look, right now I know we're in the midst of a scare about what's going to happen to the data center, but there is no doubt about it that copper is going to be replaced by fiber. That's just an evolutionary change that your company is going to benefit from.

  3. And that's something that I always see as one of the metrics in terms of the AI beneficiaries, if you will. Lumentum continues to be, it's the second pick that I continue to reiterate. That's something that I even spoke about in April as well. Lumentum is again something that is a mainstay in our portfolio, on the lines of the optical network Their laser chips that Lumentum manufactures is so short, it's so short in supply that they're unable to keep up with the demand that I think in April when, you know, the three of us spoke in the podcast, at the time Lumentum CEO had said that their capacity to manufacture laser chips has been sold out through 2028.

  4. And on Friday, they updated investors that the capacity now for 2029 has been sold out and they've opened bookings for 2030. So that's kind of the scale of demand that you're seeing for laser chips. And there's so much of demand for laser chips that needs to be integrated in networking switches, and then which is being deployed in scale-out networks that's basically connecting servers to servers. And then next year we have scale-up networking where laser chips are being deployed. There's just so much of demand. So Lumentum is just one great company as well that I recommend out here as well. And even for Lumentum, growth is just accelerating. It's switching gears constantly. Like we had 13% growth in FY24.

  5. 83% growth that, that Lumentum delivered in FY— in the recently concluded FY26 in June. And then that's going to add— that, that is expected to accelerate to about 110% next year. Again, for Lumentum, gross margins are expanding. It's probably about— they're expecting about 55% gross margin. So that's again something I really want to see as an investor. This is something that's really, really dear to me in terms of a high conviction pick, and I didn't talk enough in the April podcast that we had, and that's AMD. I think any investor on Seeking Alpha who's looking through my coverage, they'll just see through it and say like, you know, this guy is an AMD fan, like a Lisa Su who's the CEO. This guy is a Lisa Su. He should open up a Lisa Su fan club because she's just done—

  6. I think we have sort of covered, you know, the three main parts of beneficiaries from agent AI. We have Meta, we have cybersecurity, CDN providers, and And then we have the heap of, you know, the optical, the infrastructure names that include your AMDs and Marvells, Lumentum, and possibly storage names that we may be adding to our portfolio soon. So yeah, no, I think we have covered the cohort pretty well.

  7. Nothing. And then you look at Toll, you know, the Toll, they have what, 27% are going to be cash buyers. So it's doing a little bit better. But, you know, I don't want something that's doing a little bit better. I want to make a lot of money. And if you want to make a lot of money, then you have to go buy Lumentum. You got to go.

  8. So let's give some money to Lumentum, to Coherent. Next thing you know, you've got an incredible market that's got optical all over it. That was what Matt Murphy was talking about from Marvell. I just think that Jensen— again, I'm in the visionary camp. There's so many— there are people who are now saying, listen, he's too glib about about cybersecurity. There's always been criticism about him ever since the companies crossed the trillion-dollar track because people just don't believe it. And yet Microsoft, a software company, we were happily, happily paying $3 trillion for that. I think that the ecosystem that, that Jensen has set up is the most valuable ecosystem I've ever seen.
