Um, I wanted to talk to you about stock. I bought it when it split. It's a semiconductor stock, and it started at $125 this year. It rose to a fabulous $301, and of course I didn't sell it. And during the momentum craze, it dropped to $190. It's bouncing around $206. Um, Apparently its valuation is pretty high at $53. And according to what I read, I don't— I'm not a brainiac with this. Its stock revenue grew 14% below the 17% it would need for the price to improve. So what catalyst will cause the stock KLA to rise? And where do you see it going in the coming year?
- 2 · Mad Money w/ Jim Cramer · Mad Money w/ Jim Cramer 10/5/26 · 2026-10-05Okay. I think KLA— look, I like just, you know, I like Lam. Okay. And then I like Applied Materials, KLA. But they're all really good companies and they are the solution for the huge semiconductor shortage we have, of which KLA is certainly part of that, uh, of being able to make things better. I would own that stock right here. Again, I like, I like LRCX more and I like AMAT more, but that's a very, very good company and I would not sell it. Definitely not.
Jim Cramer · Mad Money w/ Jim Cramer · Mad Money w/ Jim Cramer 10/5/26 · 2026-10-05Remember, you used to be MicroStrategy, a levered Bitcoin repository, up 76%. Now, look, if you like Bitcoin, I got an idea. Buy Bitcoin. I already covered Palantir. Workday rallied 56%. Cloud software cohort came roaring back and we got some takeover chatter. We know that cybersecurity is incredibly important. We own CrowdStrike for the Chappell Trust. I'm feeling real good about it because it rallied 39%. Losers. All right, there's that AppLovin again, down 44%. But here's another one, one that I buy, KLA Corp, semiconductor capital equipment maker. We have a widespread chip shortage that can't be solved without KLA, hence what we saw today with Micron. Crazy, its stock's down 35%. Then there's Rocket Lab, off 31%. Some delays, some dilution, lower margins can even bring down rocket stocks. You want rockets? SpaceX. In the end, I think the best lessons from the third quarter came from the 30 stocks in the Dow Jones Industrial Average, which finished down 2.7%. The winner was Salesforce, up 46.5%. This is another SaaSpocalypse survivor.
Jim Cramer · Mad Money w/ Jim Cramer · Mad Money w/ Jim Cramer 10/1/26 · 2026-10-01Right. And you see the— and the reason why— where I think that even though this looks horrible and could go down to 1,000 is that we see Applied Materials and we see KLA and we see the, you know, What we see every one of these—
Jim Cramer · Squawk on the Street · CNBC Investing Club: Cramer’s Morning Take on Micron 10/1/26 · 2026-10-01Yeah, pretty steady open here on the first day of the quarter. Dow down 4, S&P up 7. We'll keep our eye on Treasury. We're going to get ISM at the top of the hour along with some construction spending. Claims were pretty good, 200K versus a prior 197. Ten-year there at 3.23. Stay with us. There's a look at some names doing well at this open. There's AMAT up, as you can see, up more than 3. KLA is not far behind here, Jim.
Carl Quintanilla · Squawk on the Street · 9AM HOUR: Playbook for Q4 and October, Micron CEO Exclusive, Bond Sell-off Accelerates 10/1/26 · 2026-10-01So it's, it's a lot of headline stuff that is not economic, but it's making people just feel pessimistic. And I mentioned we're at war. We don't have to do that whole thing again. But basically the setup here, Matt, is you have narrowing breadth, which we just spent 20 minutes on. You have an air pocket of a few weeks before earnings season, right? We're not going to get those great reports from KLA and Lam Research and all the stuff that we're looking forward to. It's going to be a minute. Not to mention you have the typical October surprise seasonality. September is not a great month for stocks. October can be a good month historically, but like seasonally. But it's also been a month where like crazy things have happened. Without rehashing the whole litany of 1929 and 1987 and the TARP votes during the financial crisis and Lehman Brothers and all this stuff, like it's, you know, people have like a little bit of muscle memory around October being a wild time.
