And here's what you need to know this morning. Collective Mining is back. They've intersected broad zones of high-grade gold equivalent mineralization within the areas previously modeled as waste inside the Apollo mineral resource open pit shell at its Guayabalas project in Colombia. It was highlighted with 135 meters of 2.12 grams per ton gold equivalent from a depth of 21.3 meters in the shallow halo zone. The results are entirely additive to the maiden Apollo mineral resource released last week, meaning the material the resource model excluded as waste is now returning economic-grade intercepts that have the potential to improve the deposit economics. Collective Mining trades on the TSX and the NASDAQ, both under the symbol CNL. C3 Metals has released first drill results from the Kalshi porphyry copper-gold target in Peru, returning 119.5 meters of 0.3% copper equivalent from 48 meters depth. And 164.5 meters of 0.35% copper equivalent from 280 meters depth in the same hole, with mineralization confirmed to 500 meters depth. Open— it's open in multiple directions and grade comparable to the nearby Hudbay Constancia mine. A 3DIP geophysical survey commences before month end to define the next drill targets. C3 Metals trades on the Venture Exchange with CCCM and on the OTCQB as CUAF. Thor Explorations has reported maiden drill results from the Marahui Gold Project in Côte d'Ivoire, with highlights including 6 meters of 6.2 grams per ton gold from 74 meters and 9 meters of 5.4 grams per ton from 40 meters. It's all within a 4-kilometer shear corridor with only about 30% of the geological trend tested and results pending from the bulk of a 25,000-meter program. Thor Explorations trades on the Venture Exchange and on London's AIM market, both under the symbol THX. Editon Resources has reported 167 meters of 1.14 grams per tonne gold equivalent from surface at the Kabang gold-copper deposit on Feni Island in Papua New Guinea. You know, that included 57 meters of just over 2 grams per ton gold equivalent, with results extending identified strike to 2 kilometers and a mining license expected in October. At the separate Wapulu deposit, targeting commercial production by Q4 of 2027. Aditton Resources trades on the Venture Exchange with ADY and on the OTCQB with ADYRF.
Trevor Hall · Mining Stock Daily · Morning Briefing: GDXJ Highlights Major Rebalancing in Holdings · 2026-09-15It's a real pleasure to welcome George Ogilvie back onto the podcast. Typically when we've done these types of interviews in the last couple of years, it's been more on the corporate update side from Arizona Sonoran Copper. Obviously that Cactus project is gone and sold to Hudbay. George and team have recently announced going into a new project, the Hercules Metals project up in Idaho. More on that in a bit. Instead of really diving into more of the corporate update side, we're going to talk a little bit of George's success, mistakes made in the past, and really how he just cannot quit the CEO position within Mind Development. George, it's really good to see you, man. What a year. What a year. Congratulations.
Trevor Hall · Mining Stock Daily · The Mining CEO Behind Two Major Exits Starts Again - George Ogilvie · 2026-09-11Yeah. So incredible success. You take that knowledge and experience, you take over Arizona Snorn, which was Elam Mining at the time. That's when I first started investing with it. It was Elam. Yeah. When it was a private company. Advanced Cactus to over 10 billion pounds of copper. You raised over $300 million Canadian, obviously sold that to HudBay recently for $2 billion. I mean, is there a playbook in here that you look for? It's like, okay, I've done this before, I can do it again. Or is it specifically geological?
Trevor Hall · Mining Stock Daily · The Mining CEO Behind Two Major Exits Starts Again - George Ogilvie · 2026-09-11So you sold Battle North Evolution, Arizona Sonoran, and as we said, went to HudBay. Yeah. When you look back at those two, and maybe there's another playbook here, but how does a CEO determine when shareholders are better served by continuing to build independently versus handing those assets off to a larger company with stronger balance sheets?
Trevor Hall · Mining Stock Daily · The Mining CEO Behind Two Major Exits Starts Again - George Ogilvie · 2026-09-11Yeah. Well, again, same situation. Sorry, I'm starting to sound a bit like a broken record here, but as you know, in March, of this year, we announced the Hudbay transaction on Arizona Sonoran. Alison and I had gone off to Zurich for the precious metals conference in late March. We met a fund manager there who was a shareholder in Arizona Sonoran and was delighted. And he was also a shareholder in Hercules Metals. He asked us, do we know the company? We said, never heard of it. He said, well, I know the chairman extremely well and the CEO, and I believe they're actually looking for a management team to come in and take the company in a slightly different direction. So, would you be interested? And he shared over 15 minutes at a very high level, some of the positive attributes which he believed for the project. So, the following week, This would be early April. I spoke to the chairman. There was enough there where we signed an NDA, and we started conducting due diligence on Hercules Metals by mid-April. And of course, by the end of July, we'd come to the conclusion that this was a project where we absolutely wanted to come in as the management team. We were extremely fortunate as well in that Chris Paul, the ex-CEO, recognized that, you know, he's probably in his late 30s, an extremely accomplished exploration geologist, but this was his first opportunity at the CEO level. He had the insight to recognize that he didn't have all of the skill sets required, and given this was his first time and he needed help, and he was willing to step aside to bring in the right management team and play a role in the future success of the company. We really need to commend Chris for that kind of thinking and maturity. It doesn't happen in our industry enough. And people, as we've discussed on this call up till now, tend to want to hold on for whatever reasons for way too long. So, we have to commend Chris for seeing that and having the foresight to step aside. And I'm very confident that himself, the management, the shareholders, and other stakeholders over time are going to do extremely well with this story. So, so why, why did we jump in here?
George Ogilvie · Mining Stock Daily · The Mining CEO Behind Two Major Exits Starts Again - George Ogilvie · 2026-09-11The biggest and best of the copper miners here in the United States is Freeport-McMoRan. Which gives you exposure to copper, gold, and even some oil. Now, the best position name globally is Southern Copper. That's the biggest miner in Peru. Lang also likes Hudbay Minerals. That's a major Canadian miner I don't follow. All three of these stocks have pulled back recently, but Lang thinks they're poised for a big run into the end of the year. Let's take a look. I want to start with the daily chart of Freeport-McMoRan, which had a monster run earlier this month before cooling off a bit last week. As Lang sees it, this is an outstanding chart. And if you want to look at the chart, you just look— this is the real chart. Okay. And look at this. It's got a series of higher highs and higher lows, the stair step that we like so much. While Freeport broke out earlier this month, cruising past its June highs, it did so on strong volume. And here's the volume right here. And that's what he's talking about. Volume's like a polygraph. When you look at the charts, strong volume means the stock's telling the truth. That means this rally is the real deal. When you look at the moving average convergence divergence, or the MACD line here, we're looking at this. Okay. It flashed a buy signal earlier this month where the black line goes above the red. And you can see that right there. Okay. I know it's a little faint, but that's it. This one of the most reliably bullish patterns out there. Then there's a new one for me, the TTM squeeze down at the absolute bottom. This is an indicator created by a fellow named Jon Carter. Of simpler trading. Helps spot low volatility periods of consolidation in order to help traders predict big moves. It's basically an amalgam of other technical indicators. Long story short, red dots on the zero line means that we're in a period of consolidation, okay? And, uh, green dots means that we're looking at a period of expanded volatility. Now, uh, that, that could lead to explosive moves. Right now, the TTM Squeeze says the Freeport's in explosive volatility mode.
Jim Cramer · Mad Money w/ Jim Cramer · Mad Money w/ Jim Cramer 8/31/26 · 2026-08-31And you can see when you look at the 200-day, that's this line and this, that's the test. Okay. And then it ripped higher. It's now got this bullish trading channel. Lang also points out that the TTM squeeze indicator is is extremely bullish. Southern Copper is already up 50% for the year, but Langley's has got more room to run. In fact, this is his favorite of the copper stocks. While the option volume isn't as heavy in this one, there's been healthy interest in the October calls at $2.10 and $2.20, as well as the January $2.20s. Right now, Southern Copper is a $208 stock. If it can break out above $220, Lang thinks it's going to $250, which would really be fantastic. Finally, how about this? Hudbay Minerals. This is a Canadian mining firm with projects in Arizona, Peru, and Nevada. This chart shows a modest uptrend of higher lows. In July, Hudbay bounced off its 200-day moving average. Red, red. Okay, look at that. Just bounced right off it.
Jim Cramer · Mad Money w/ Jim Cramer · Mad Money w/ Jim Cramer 8/31/26 · 2026-08-31Then it blew through its 50-day moving average and just kept running. Now the stock's trading sideways just under its June highs. Once that level gets taken out, Caught 44 and change. Like, he's a straight shot to 50. I like that one. Meanwhile, the MACD is on a buy signal. The Relative Strength Index, that's up here, uh, is pulling back after getting close to overbought. So that's pulling back right there. So he likes that. And the TTM Squeeze Indicator is very positive. Put it all together and there's a lot to like in this chart of a stock that I don't know at all, frankly. Here's the bottom line. Say what you will about the global economy. The charts of the copper miners interpreted by Bob Lang say we're in very good shape, even if it might not feel that way to the consumer. And that's why I like Freeport-McMoRan, Southern Copper, and my new favorite, Hudbay Minerals. Let's take some calls. Let's go to Frank in Texas. Frank.
Jim Cramer · Mad Money w/ Jim Cramer · Mad Money w/ Jim Cramer 8/31/26 · 2026-08-31Lastly, copper M&A, Sam. Sonoran, Arizona Sonoran was acquired by Hudbay. Faraday Copper has had the tie-up with Lundin and BHP. How do you think about North Isle in terms of this consolidation wave? Sure.
