  1. Combination of higher rates and ratepayer backlash caused stocks like NRG Energy, Edison, and PG&E to decline by more than 25% during the quarter.

  2. You know, and being able to eliminate so many conversion steps along the way because of, of historical, you know, reasons and, you know, standardization reasons. Okay, we got to fix this, you know, an 800-volt DC the revenge of Edison is upon us. Yeah, I like to say, yeah. So, you know, I do think that ends up being— we need better power conversion. You know, we have a couple of companies, one of those vertical, you know, vertical GaN, you know, I think will be, you know, a killer technology, you know, to be able to do 800 to 48 or 800 to 12 or even 800 to 5 in one conversion step, right? Which just gives you a lot more energy. You know, we touched on solid-state transformers. Yeah, you know, all of those are, you know, solid-state transformer switches, et cetera, you know, rebuilding, you know, the power delivery network. And I think that will, you know, have a lot of, you know, innovation, you know, sort of like, okay, power's cool again, right? You know, you know, for it.

  3. I think I sometimes wonder how many Isaac Newtons or Thomas Edisons lived and died in poverty in an inner city somewhere because they were never given the opportunity to go gain the resources and the access to the resources that they needed to flourish. Yeah. And it's because we— yeah, it's a big problem that unfortunately we— what is the— there was a saying that I thought was apropos there and I completely forget it. So that's— or I completely forgot it. So that's not helpful. But yeah, this is a problem I think a lot of people recognize. But unfortunately, when it comes to actually trying to do something about it, we have to get back— we have to get past the problem of the people in power are really there to be in power more commonly than they're there to fix problems.

  4. Yeah, exactly. Before the invention of electricity. Tamagotchis were in fact the first thing that Edison invented. So get Maybe you could describe them to our large Zoomer audience, Mike.

  5. You know, I think in NorCal, in PG&E territory, we'll have, you know, over a dozen sites live by end of this year. In Southern California, I think there's probably close to half a dozen or more that are, that are in construction right now with Southern California Edison, and we're working hand in hand with them very closely to get those energized either this year into next year and then adding to that pipeline. So I guess the short answer is in 2027, you'll see a markedly different network of IANA in California than you did prior. One of the sites that we're opening in Southern California this year, this year is our first flagship or beacon site in Orange County, just off the 405. And so again, like if you look at the software building, it's not just more chargers in the back of a shopping mall. We're doing that also in terms of, you know, amenity partners. But this site off the 405, our first flagship, is going to be 22 high-power charging bays. We've built essentially a just-walk-out Amazon partnership convenience store, outdoor seating, all types of amenities nearby. And so we're really trying to elevate that charging experience in addition to getting scale for drivers.

  6. Yeah, I've asked Southern California Edison about that. They are not on board, unfortunately.

  7. The business was finally supposed to stabilize in 2026, but then we got hit with the Iran war that sent oil prices through the roof. And now the Federal Reserve's hitting the brakes on the economy. The stock's down 5% for the year and that 7.1% dividend yield. Cold comfort. How about no comfort? The fourth highest yielder in the S&P. Brutal. Edison International, the California-based electric utility, 6.8% yield. This one's down 26% over the last month, although nearly all of that's from what happened in the California legislature, which killed a plan to partially protect utilities from wildfire liability. That's not Edison International's fault. But I think you'd have to be crazy to bet on a California utility here, no matter how big the dividend yield might be. You can't trust that legislature in California to do the reasonable thing for everybody.
