  1. Yeah, I mean, that'll be the last domino to fall. Possibly. We'll see.

  2. I don't discount the— I mean, the domino theory never worked in, obviously, in Southeast Asia. But in this case, it sure worked in World War II. We should have been scared, and maybe we should be scared at this point. Is it too simplistic to say there's two kinds of people in the world? People have the Ukrainian flag in their yard, people have the Israeli flag in their yard. Why does it seem to go down political? Why is it like that right now?

  4. Well, I'm just saying, I want to be somewhat measured here in the fact that a lot of things have to go wrong simultaneously and in order for this to be the reality of things. I mean, as it stands now, they have debt that they are currently paying off. The company does have existing businesses that are underwriting it. They're certainly not the only neo-cloud that's taken on debt in order to fund data center expansion. I don't quite see the domino effects playing out right now to—

  5. Putting that away, right? But in order to do that first, you first have to get out of this debt. So there's kind of that motivational domino effect, right? That if you're like, okay, $2,000 a month.

  6. You know, it's funny because in the crisis of 2008, I was, you know, I started I became chairman in '02, and that was frightening to me just to begin that. But the '08 crisis was something that you kept thinking, this can't be real. And but I really believed in my heart of hearts that no matter how bad this is, the United States government had to step in. And I think we all knew that. The question is how many dominoes would fall first. So that didn't scare me as much. I think that The pandemic would be one of the things that scared me the most because I think when you yell fire in a crowded theater, that's what it felt like to me. And I was on TV. I'll never forget April 20th, 2020, defending -37.50 of oil. And I was being crucified why we let oil go to a negative amount. Well, what we did was we had our options priced at negative strikes because we could kind of see this coming.

  7. because now there's no surprise. Investors are forewarned. And guess what? If they think Mr. Trump's serious, they're going to want those higher rates and be quick about it. Ricardo says this can have a very dangerous domino effect on the financial system.

  8. Core may seem significant when it comes to the growth of AI, but it's a little boat in the sea of interest rates. If the yield on the 30-year Treasury goes north of 6%, it's currently at 5.47, then look out. If we get another rate hike soon, then I believe Core will have a difficult time raising money and the dominoes will indeed fall. It could be a casualty of the Fed's war against inflation, not its valuation of the value of its chips. We need to factor interest rates into everything these days because ever since Kevin became Fed chair, his agenda is to crush inflation. And there's a heck of a lot of inflation to crush, including all the debt that's needed to finance the data center buildout. Increasingly, I worry more about Treasury yields when it comes to financing anything versus the intrinsic cost of capital for a data center builder. Why? Because we are underestimating the power of rates and the determination of warsh. If rates come down, I bet Core is fine, although I still again worry about Nubia and Iran because they're tertiary players still.

  9. So defendants moved to dismiss, and she granted that on the grounds that Brennan failed to show standing because his injury wasn't imminent, but it was was conjectural or hypothetical. And she said that he— again, she focused on the idea that he couldn't show that there was evidence being deleted in his particular case, or that it was likely that there was. And she said for his constitutional injury to actually accrue, a series of dominoes must fall. She laid out the dominoes that the government indicts him, that a grand jury returns the indictment, that he moves to dismiss on selective or vindictive prospective prosecution grounds that the court allows discovery. And then that final part in the chain that she focused on, that documents that would have been responsive to the discovery are by that point lost or destroyed. What Brennan had been arguing was that, well, they're going to be destroyed in secret. So how am I going to seek relief? They'll have been destroyed at that point.

  10. Right, right. Exactly, exactly. And so you're not wrong. I think LMI is a stupid insurance for a whole lot of reasons. And yes, they are horribly, horribly undercapitalized. If the worst comes to worst, the LMI are gone. Unless they are bailed out. I suspect government doesn't bail out the LMI. I suspect they bail out the banks and make the insurers wear the cost, frankly, for all the usual social, political, whatever reasons. There are no depositors' money in LMI institutions. You know, the bondholders and other people that governments will probably let swing, I suspect. But I don't— if it gets to that point, if the LMI is gone, there's been a lot done at the foreclosure level and that you're right, Kaz, to suggest that that gets eventually if that domino or that different analogy. If the snowball keeps rolling down the hill, yes, it does end up with the taxpayer, as Ram suggests.

  11. Well, Maciel, what a day we had. It started with the opening reaction on a hot CPI and everything looked like it was the right response, which is yields higher, the dollar higher, pressure on equities. But the tension shifted to AI credit very, very quickly. And the story turned to CoreWeave where its shares were down close to 16% while the outstanding bond yields that they have were up to 15%, essentially going junk status. Now, this is about a potential domino effect. So many people are asking, is CoreWeave that important that they can actually turn the markets? Well, this is really about the fact that AI has been sucking up so much credit in order to create growth, and inevitably the growth will start to potentially stall when their access to credit also slows. So the real question is, is CoreWeave that important?

  12. The problem is the scale of the obligations once the, once the, the dominoes start falling. So once it starts here, how far do you go with this? It wouldn't surprise me to see someone try to staunch the bleeding as the first Neo Cloud fails. But the problem is then, of course, the cascade will continue because the market will test your commitment to the trade, as it were. And as a How many of these people, how many of these companies are you willing to backstop in an effort to make sure that you don't have this rippling cascade? And suddenly you say to yourself, as NVIDIA or someone else says, hang on a second, I'm not Hank Paulson and I'm not the Federal Reserve. I'm not in the business of bailing out the system. The system goes down without me.

  13. I am, I can relate so much to everything you just said. In part because I'm an executive, but actually it doesn't really matter if you're an executive in this context because we all live in this very, very noisy world. I want to now go through all of the solutions. You called it getting all the shit out of our way, cleaning up our digital and physical environments. There is a box here. This is— you didn't want to make it an app, but there is some of the stuff you talk about is in this box. I guess as someone that wants to be able to do the best work of my life, think clearly, interview well, build businesses, innovate, be creative, all of those things that you were pointing at through your explanations. I want to know, where's the first place to start? What's the first domino? If I fuck up my sleep, is that the first? Do I have to meditate? What is the—

  14. No. And some people there, People are looking at what's happening with Oracle and saying Oracle is the first domino to fall. Well, it's not that they can't afford the data centers, that they didn't have the regulatory approval. So it is really easy to get caught up in some of these headlines and see the cracks are forming. But if you don't look into it closely, you can get led astray. I mean, are you seeing any areas that say, this is concerning to me that people are not being able to meet their obligations or are the wheels continuing to turn right now?

It's snacks. It's McDonald's. It's— then they got obviously the housing-related stuff like floor and decor, no shit. Dick's Sporting Goods, Advanced Auto Parts. These things have nothing to do with each other. Um, you've got an apparel name on here. Lululemon. All right, so these are the names represented on here.
