  3. I never lost a baby. I've never been pregnant in my life, but I've seen a lot of people that have and have had to go through that. I've seen it. I've seen the— you know, like I always say, there's two kinds of women in the mountains: the kind that get married and have a lot of kids and the kind that stay single and have a lot of kids. But I would also write things about people's lives and topics that I knew that mattered. I was writing about abortion. I was writing about adoption. I was writing about all sorts of things back before it was— when I even wrote a song called Down from Dover about a girl that got pregnant and got sent away from home because she was pregnant, because they wouldn't accept it.

  5. Good morning, David. Cleanup is underway after severe storms pummeled the Northeast, flooding roads, stranding drivers, and causing Causing widespread damage, crews rescued 69 people from vehicles in Jersey City while flooding closed parts of the Long Island Expressway. And a likely tornado also struck Dover, Delaware, downing trees and power lines. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported. Tesla is recalling nearly 5.7 million vehicles in China, its largest recall there. Regulators cited concerns involving emergency door releases and driver monitoring systems. Tesla will address most of the safety issues through over-the-air software updates. And Prince Harry, Elton John, and 5 other high-profile figures have been ordered to pay an initial $13 million to the publisher of Britain's Daily Mail. The payment is due August 28th after a judge rejected their privacy case, finding insufficient evidence to support claims, including illegal phone hacking. Sarah, back over to you.

  6. Absolutely. Thank you, Scott, for the opportunity to be with you today. My name is Darren Rourke. I'm the president and chief operating officer, and I have the pleasure of serving here at Wentworth Douglas MassGen Brigham Hospital located in the New Hampshire seacoast in the great city of Dover, New Hampshire. And we are a 187-bed non-for-profit hospital that's been been serving the seacoast for 120 years, believe it or not.

  7. And you hit the nail on the head. Just the fact that we are a non-for-profit health system and focused on growing our services and really designing care with patients at the center enables us to identify the health needs that our community needs and how we can better serve the residents of New Hampshire and even Maine, 'cause our hospital's located just 2 miles from the Maine border. The challenge we have in healthcare today is everyone wants healthcare. And the challenge is, how do we find a way to pay for healthcare in this modern setting with the latest tech, with technology ever-changing and the challenges that we see from payers and the focus on quality care? And unfortunately, a lot of health systems in New Hampshire have found it very challenging to continue to produce the labor and delivery product and being able to support the wraparound services and the expenses that go with delivering a safe labor and delivery, comprehensive women's health program. And we at Mass General Brigham/Wentworth Douglas have the advantage of being a part of this larger academic health system that enables us to be able to tap the resources in Boston and at Mass General Brigham to continue to provide that great care and double down on those services with our NICU, which is full every single day to near capacity. And being the only hospital here in the Seacoast that continues to provide that level of care gives us a unique privilege to be able to serve that community from cradle to brave, as the saying goes, and enable us to deliver high-quality care in, in addition to maintaining the, the fact that you can still say, hey, I was born in Dover, New Hampshire. And unfortunately, with the closure of a lot of labor and delivery services in New Hampshire, folks can't say they were born at their local hospital anymore. And I think that's something that we really value, and we want to continue to support and, and care for those services. In fact, as we've seen the continued change and evolution in healthcare, and as smaller hospitals join larger health systems across the New England and the New Hampshire market, a lot of those health services have had to make the tough decision to close services.

  8. God, I think the saying that we as healthcare executives use that all healthcare is local is 100% true. I think I've certainly learned that over my career. And as you said, I've been fortunate to work for great health systems such as Advocate Healthcare in Chicago and the Baptist Health System in Florida. And I would say that different areas of the country definitely have different healthcare needs, different healthcare opportunities, and And despite the fact that we're all taking care of patients and our goal is to deliver the best possible care that we can, the model of care that each of us use in different geographies is different. And I've learned that for sure. One example of that is if you look at the Florida market and other areas of the country, they've been very quick to embrace the freestanding emergency department model. And as you alluded to, we're getting— we just recently, as a matter of fact, broke ground on our freestanding emergency room that we're going to build in Rochester. And this will be the first freestanding emergency emergency room that Mass General Brigham has built. And if you look at other health systems in other areas of the country, they have now, you know, several dozen freestanding emergency rooms because they've identified that as a way to continue to be able to serve the consumer where they are, closer to home. And that's certainly true here because we've seen other hospitals that have had to cut back on services due to economics in New Hampshire. And roughly 30% of the patients who come to our hospital every day here in Dover originate in Rochester and parts north of Rochester. So our goal is to build a freestanding ED in Rochester and be able to deliver that world-class care closer to home so that patients don't have to travel. Because we know in an emergency, you know, seconds matter. And so while other areas of the country have really embraced the freestanding ED model, New England has been slow to adopt it. And I'm just proud and privileged to be able to bring that freestanding ED model to Mass General Brigham. And we're excited to be able to break ground and get this freestanding need the bill so we can continue to expand and, and provide that care to residents in New Hampshire.

  9. Well, first of all, my prayers go out to the men and women of the armed forces every day, especially sailors on that aircraft carrier and any aircraft carrier, any vessel, any any deployment, we have to put their mental health as a priority concern. I am having a hard time understanding why the Democrats won't work with us to replace our munitions so that we can keep our national security strong while they're making some statement that is really hurting our troops more than anything. The president believes in the armed forces. I was at Dover Air Force Base when those 7 bodies came overseas, back to Delaware. I saw him react to the— those coffins. He feels that. He knows that. He's in their corner, and I know he appreciates everything that they're doing. They've got a terribly hard job. We had trouble getting the Democrats to work with us to fund the government. The Coast Guard wasn't getting aid, and yet every single Republican was voting to make the paychecks work, and no Democrats were.

  10. All over the world. All over the world. But it's taken a lifetime to kind of collect those ingredients. Ingredients. I prefer this Dover sole, I prefer, you know, this pistachio. So it's, you know, cost of goods goes up, but I can't start changing things.

  15. This was an incredibly somber week, as you know, for the country. 4 US service members were killed in Iranian attacks. President Trump, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, others attended the dignified transfer at Dover Air Force Base on Wednesday. Should the country brace for more American lives to be lost in this conflict, Mr. Ambassador?
