Yields on 10-year Treasuries yields rose to their highest level in nearly two decades. This is the latest milestone in a global bond sell-off driven by surging energy prices, mounting debt, and inflation. The 10-year Treasury yield at 4.99%, just shy of that 5% mark. The 2-year Treasury yield at 4.65%, and the 30-year Treasury yield at 5.37%. And markets are pricing in near-certain odds that tomorrow the Fed will deliver the first rate hike since July of 2023. But Carlisle Carlyle CEO Harvey Schwartz says he does not think this will be the start of a hiking cycle.
