Speaker E · The Prof G Pod with Scott Galloway · Can We Coexist With AI? — with Ethan Mollick · 2026-10-22Yeah. So I thought what was fascinating about this debate was the comments, which, you know, a lot of founders kind of chimed in in support of, you know, um, not having the pro rata, but then a lot of investors did too. And so I thought that was kind of an interesting— that's marketing.
Jenny Fielding · This Week in Startups · We asked 3 VCs: would you invest in Elizabeth Holmes’ next startup? | E2353 · 2026-10-22Like friends. I have one good friend who takes it every day. He's taken He drinks bottles of these things. He's drinking like 6 a day. I was like, fuck, dude, that's crazy. This episode is brought to you by the Mosquito Bowl. Here's a story that's pretty incredible. After Pearl Harbor, 4 of the best college football players in America walk away from promising NFL careers to enlist in the Marines and fight in World War II. And the craziest part, it's a true story. These guys had their whole lives ahead of them but traded the glory of the gridiron for the brutal reality of combat where the stakes were life and death. Directed by Pete Berg, the guy behind Friday Night Lights, and starring Nicholas Galitzine, Bill Skarsgård, Ray Nicholson, and Tom Francis. The Mosquito Bowl in theaters October 30th. This episode is brought to you by Chime, and I know people don't usually get excited about banking, but Chime is doing something different and it's worth paying attention to.

Joe Rogan · The Joe Rogan Experience · #2569 - Bill Thompson · 2026-10-21And if they didn't get that earnout, it would seriously change the economics. But it seems like they got, 90% of the deal value. Still pretty good outcome for the founders of Poppy. But— Amazing outcome. But yeah, Sean Frank chimes in and says a quarter is what you should expect in an earnout most of the time right off that second bit, that second bite to zero. You shouldn't go into one of these deals expecting to get the full earnout because companies have lots of resources. They control the budget, the distribution, all the success or failure. You're no longer in charge. You're no longer the master of your own destiny. And so if you put all the chips with them, they might bet them differently than you would expect to. Thank you for tuning into TVPN. Leave us 5 stars on Apple Podcast and Spotify. Hit the gong again.

John Coogan · TBPN · "You Can See Everything" Sparks Debate, 17% GDP Growth Please, Call of Duty Campaign Review | Katie Drummond, Bing Gordon, Daksh Gupta, Jean-Denis Greze, Quinten Farmer · 2026-10-19I was talking about that process of where we put the cameras and how we did it to get to this, because what would happen is they would be living their life and doing things, and we would try to capture these things. But then a couple things started happening. Firstly, because I was there, they would keep engaging with me. So they would be talking to each other, but then they would be like, "Nathan, what do you think?" And I would chime in from off camera. Or if nothing was really happening, I would ask a question to see what they would say about something. But I was off camera, and it was more to prompt a discussion or something like that. Or they would start talking to me, and conversations would go on for long enough that the operators started panning over to me. But also, they would say stuff that tickled a part of my brain that was like, "Something's off about this," or, "I feel like this is them trying to do some sort of propaganda."
Nathan Fielder · Uncanny Valley _ WIRED · From The Big Story: Nathan Fielder Tells Us Everything · 2026-10-19So today we'll talk about where the traditional patient journey breaks down, what it takes to get different teams and locations working together and whether better coordination can improve not only the patient experience, but also how efficiently a spine program operates. So Caitlin and Maureen, thank you so much for joining us. And with that, we will dive right in into it all. But I guess let's start with the problem that you're trying to solve. So to either of you, whoever wants to chime in on this one, when you looked at how a spine patient moved through the system, where were you seeing the biggest opportunities to make that journey a little bit easier?
Sophie Adis · Becker’s Healthcare Podcast · Building a More Connected Approach to Spine Care with Maureen Cappola & Caitlin Rivet · 2026-10-17If you can see here, we've got Lacy Hunt kicking it off. As you know, Lacy has had a pretty big pivot in terms of the way that he sees where things are headed economically. He goes very deep into that at the start of this conference. He's kicking it off with the keynote, followed by Jan van Eck, president of Van Eck Funds. He talks all about what's going on with these high bond yields that are going on and how that changes the landscape for investors. We then are going to have Neil Howe, author of The Fourth Turning. He'll be chiming in live so that you can ask him any questions you want. Fred Hickey will be talking about AI. He's got an awful lot to say there. Ed Dowd will be there giving the deflation case. Mike Green will be talking about what's going on with passive capital flows. Mark Newton will be giving his latest update on the technical analysis side for the rest of the year. Stephanie Pomboy and Grant Williams will be doing a super terrific happy half hour. For us, Darius Dale will be going through the latest outcome of the, you know, his model there at 42Macro.
Adam Taggart · Thoughtful Money with Adam Taggart · It's A Tricky Market Right Now | Lance Roberts · 2026-10-17So actually, Ron DeSantis chimed in and said, like, we're going to make this thing legal in Florida. And I think it's actually pretty easy to— what is that? Amazing.
John Coogan · TBPN · "You Can See Everything" Review, Roadster Reactions, Eric Glyman Joins | Walter Isaacson, Christian Jensen, Tavarish · 2026-10-16That's a really good point. So one of the things you've seen in this cycle over the last couple of years are a lot of the seniors are now taking equity stakes in the juniors and kind of using them as a bit of an exploration tool. I think, you know, Agnico's probably the best example of that. I'm not sure what they're up to now, but I was kind of going through some of their holdings at one point and I think they got up to like publicly disclose there's like over 50 companies in there that they had some equity stake in. So they're probably like the best example of a company that does that. But I think it's a great way to sort of get some exposure to some greenfield projects at, you know, relatively low risk. And for a lot of these senior companies, and I'll I'll sort of use Agnico as an example again, from the feedback I've heard, it's been pretty positive for these juniors because, you know, they've, they've got such a large technical team and guys with, you know, tons of experience, a lot of really sharp guys over there, uh, to be able to have that knowledge and experience kind of chime in and sort of support or guide some of these junior exploration companies. I think that that's really beneficial for them as well.
Ryan Hanley · Mining Stock Daily · The Mining Exploration Boom Has Barely Begun | Major Drilling · 2026-10-16Yeah. Okay. Last product. They have a new Apple TV 4K. A lot of people have been waiting for this. Faster performance. It can act as a home hub for smart home monitoring and stuff. It plugs into all of this. You know, stuff. Has far-field microphones, so you control it— you can control it just from the brick or whatever it is. The remote has Find My support with precision finding, and you can chime it. And the cool thing is if you just buy the new remote, it will work with the old Apple TVs. You can still find the remote even if you pair with the old Apple TVs. That's great, but it's $300. It costs the same as a HomeView, which is way more expensive than the old Apple TVs were.
David · Waveform_ The MKBHD Podcast · Apple Homeview, Microsoft Surface Ultra, and Fitbit Edge. It's TECHtober. · 2026-10-16I care at tellsellme.com because I, I would like to learn about more about this. So if anybody is an expert on this particular— this is a very, you know, specific area of tax law here. We would love someone to chime in on the YouTube comments or email Scott@biggerpocketsmoney.com or Mindy@biggerpocketsmoney.com because we are not experts on this, but this was something that Mindy did really great research to uncover in preparation for this episode because it directly applied here. It's one of those niche things that could actually specifically and tactically help you guys with the liquidity problem in the near term.
Scott Trench · BiggerPockets Money · Their $3.8M Net Worth Is Trapped. How Can They Retire? · 2026-10-16Yeah, the first thing I looked at was a state-by-state crush. So I think you're spot on. That 13-month low nationally was led by Iowa being down over 13%. The other big number that kind of chimes in with what Chip and Naomi were talking about is soybean oil stocks. What started this rally It wasn't China buying, it was policy by the Trump administration and the clarification of the 45Z RVO and the biodiesel. And we've— our soybean oil stocks at just over a billion pounds is the tightest since November 2014 per NOPA. And so I really do think that this is more of a range-bound market unless something dramatically changes and agree wholeheartedly with what the other two said. As pertains to the corn, I'm in the camp still, Todd, that Nebraska and Iowa are on my watch list, that clients in those two states are telling me that it's not there like USDA thinks.
