  1. Very, very transformative, especially— I talked to some of the companies in Canada, and we have what they call the Ring of Fire in Northern Ontario, and it's very remote. And if you could drop a small modular reactor up there, that— and those can go 10 years plus— it would lower the cost. It would allow them to get up and going so much quicker and be much more efficient. And I think that, again, would lower the cost and make make it more, you know, easier to develop some of these projects. So yeah, no, that's something to keep your eye on. And that's one of the resources, you know, we own some Cameco and again, it's one of the best companies in the uranium space. And why do we own it? Again, because of the AI digitization, all of this energy demand that we're seeing. And even in the oil and gas sector, we don't have a lot of money invested in there, but we do have some in the oil and gas sector and the Canadian oil companies in particular are inexpensive. But it looks like the government is freeing up a little bit. I mean, I wish they'd do a lot more and those valuations could get unlocked, but we certainly have the resources. So yeah, anything that transforms the energy and keeps the energy costs lower. As mining costs, I mean, back of the envelope, this varies, but many people would say 25 to 30% of the cost of a mine can be energy. So anytime you can cut that cost substantially, it's going to be significant in dropping your average cost of getting the commodity out of the ground.

  2. And good morning, everybody. Welcome back to the Mining Stock Daily Morning Briefing, and we're starting the week off on the right foot. Silver outperforming out of the gate this morning, up 1.67% to $65.74 an ounce. Gold is grinding higher but still in a range. It's up half a percent to $4,399 an ounce. Copper is adding over 1% to $6.68 a pound, and there's a significant story behind that move. Copper's London market is showing acute tightness this morning, with the LME August over September spread blowing out to $370 per ton. That is the widest one-month spread since the 2021 short squeeze. LME stockpiles fell for the 42nd consecutive session to just under 205,000 tons, with nearly half already earmarked for removal from warehouses. Supply anxiety is compounded by the situation in Indonesia, where PT Smelting's Gresik plant has been offline for, well, about 11 days now following a furnace incident. Through the company, though, the company says it is accelerating the restart of its adjacent Mann Yarm smelter to offset the outage by the end of this month. In the uranium sector, NexGen Energy has broken ground on its Rook One uranium project in Saskatchewan. It's a mine designed to produce up to 30 million pounds of uranium per year at full capacity, which would exceed the licensed output of Cameco's McArthur River Key Lake complex. The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission approved the environmental assessment in March and granted the construction license concurrently. We'll get to the news out of the miners and explorers here in just a moment, but first, a quick mention of today's sponsor. This episode of Mining Stock Daily is brought to you by Integra Resources.
