  7. So that brings us to the next month, December 1988, when Jerry returns to NBC in Los Angeles to meet again, this time bringing both a pitch for the idea for the script and a partner, Larry. And NBC, as you might expect, doesn't exactly like either of them, or especially at least doesn't like Larry. But none Nonetheless, the two of them, Jerry and Larry, walk out of that meeting with probably the most valuable TV deal that has ever been made in all of television history. But before we tell that story, now is a great time to thank our brand new presenting partner this year, Sierra.

  8. That's where Sierra comes in. First, your customer relationships are your competitive advantage. When you deploy Sierra's AI agents, every interaction adds to your understanding of that customer, deepening the relationship and generating insights that compound over time. Second, you should pay for outcomes, not tokens, like an insurance claim paid or a sale closed or a customer retained. Sierra's pricing model is quite novel in that way.

  9. Sierra is already the leading platform for customer service agents, everything from account signup to troubleshooting, subscription management. They work with over 40% of the Fortune 50, 1 in 3 of the world's leading banks, and 5 out of the 10 largest healthcare companies. And their agents can also handle complex workflows that generate revenue too. So think about appointment booking in healthcare or refinancing a loan in financial services, things that can take weeks or months and span across voice, chat, email, and WhatsApp conversations.

  13. And then, yeah, we follow the whole supply of guns all the way to Sinaloa and spent the last few days there in Sinaloa. The sicarios videos from the Sinaloa Cartel shooting guns and also showing us there— they had these bunkers built under these houses in the Sierra Madres Mountains of Sinaloa, which are very much cartel territory. Like, the military, you know, authorities don't really go there. And they had these bunkers full. We went to one of them, and it was full of every single— I mean, full of guns, weapons, and ammunition that they were saving for a potential war with a rival cartel. And I think a few weeks later, they were actually used in the Culiacanazo. Do you remember the Culiacanazo? When the authorities, the Mexican authorities got Ovidio Guzmán, they arrested Ovidio Guzmán, who's one of El Chapo's sons, and the cartel said, "This is not gonna happen.
