Yeah, I mean, today Intel files its altera comment. Look, I think Intel's still a buy. I think Micron's still a buy. I just want to start with those. Obviously, the Corning— it was some fortuitous timing because it turned out the Corning's doing this at the market sale for $2 billion. Those are the kiss of death. We saw it for Oracle. We actually saw it for AMC. When you do these, every time the stock lifts, you bring out sellers. So I want people to be very careful until they're done their sell program. And it's certainly— I would say George Kurtz would tell you again, if these companies have a problem, they should address the problem. They should put some money toward it instead of just having people just say, you know, whatever they want. Jensen Huang in the All In conference was asked about, are you allowed to say whatever you want on on letter X. And he says externally what you do is what's done internally. And he doesn't really know what those guys are doing.
Jim Cramer · Squawk on the Street · CNBC Investing Club: Cramer’s Morning Take on Chip Stocks 9/15/26 · 2026-09-15Very exciting. And I imagine has humongous benefits to your workforce and your pipeline. Yeah, one other thing I wanted to ask you about, especially as we're thinking about new nurses entering the workforce, is the clinical skills gap. I've spoken with a lot of chief nursing executives who've talked about that gap feeling like it's grown in recent years, or that once a new nurse enters their system, they really are doing a lot more heavy lifting to get them prepared for practice, whether that's just straight clinical skills or critical thinking. So I'm curious, one, what's your perspective on that, and Do AMCs have a sort of a unique advantage when they're coming to closing that gap?
Mackenzie Bean · Becker’s Healthcare Podcast · Dr. Janice Walker on Building a Stronger Nursing Workforce at UF Health · 2026-09-15Perfect. They've got the dumb CAPTCHA though on the AMC website that it hasn't been able to get through.
Lenny Rachitsky · The a16z Show · Why Companies Are Becoming a Series of Loops | Anish Acharya on Lenny’s Podcast · 2026-09-12So this is a problem. They need people buying popcorn. Like, take AMC Theaters. Right now, the company generally loses money after paying all of its costs and taxes, and showing movies is expensive. Selling popcorn rings their cash register. AMC keeps about $0.81 for every dollar spent on food and beverages. So these theater chains need people coming in regularly.
Ricky Mulvey · The Indicator from Planet Money · Bessent's yen bet, cold Argentine data centers set, and the summer box office net · 2026-09-11I had someone chewing ice during a showing of Akira. So, Waylon, you are not, you are not the worst. You are not the worst. Don't. No. Who does that? AMC, other chains, they're trying to solve this traffic problem. AMC, for example, they want to increase the movie supply. They're starting their own distribution venture. It's called the Leawood Films. So that's going to go out and buy movies at film festivals because right now streamers like Netflix, they're going to film festivals, they bid on movies, but then they put those movies straight on their platform. And AMC is basically saying, hi, arthouse cinema director, we will help you with marketing and put your very important movie on a larger screen.
Ricky Mulvey · The Indicator from Planet Money · Bessent's yen bet, cold Argentine data centers set, and the summer box office net · 2026-09-11So, you know, Lance and I probably sound like a broken record here. We've been saying this for a while and they were coming down and then Iran kicked in, tariffs kicked in. So kind of one of our themes is that there's bond fundamentals and there's bond narratives. And at the end of the day, historically, fundamentals drive yields. That's— there's a very, very high correlation. I've shown charts on with you before just showing the very high correlation really between inflation and inflation expectation and bond yields. But in the meantime, a, a narrative— and a narrative can be true or false— but a narrative can take over and drive a market. And we see it in the stock market all the time. There's a narrative behind the memory chip companies, behind the AI companies, behind meme stocks, behind gold and silver, behind crypto. You know, we've seen one after another. And those narratives at times can divorce a price from its fundamentals. Right. AMC and GameStop are two great examples where the price is shot through the moon. The fundamentals of the two companies were not that good. And ultimately, price, or in our case, yield, comes back to fundamentals. And what we see today is a divergence between fundamentals and narratives. And it just seems like it's just one story, one narrative, one thing hitting the bond market after another. And I think it's just because the bond market is susceptible. It's going higher in yield, lower in price. And, you know, I think just everyone's scared and just thinking yields are going to go to the moon. But if you kind of, you know, and this is appropriate that we're talking to because the Fed meets a week from tomorrow, a week from today, and it'll be interesting to see what they say because let's just think about the fundamentals. And actually, you mind if I share a screen? I put this on a nice, pretty table so you can kind of follow along here.
Michael Lebowitz · Thoughtful Money with Adam Taggart · Bonds To Reverse Soon As Yields Approach 'Line In The Sand'? Michael Lebowitz · 2026-09-10Adam Aron at AMC thinks it's a problem that Robinhood lists these tokenized instruments that are based on AMC shares. Now, it is only for non-US investors, but this is a broader effort on Robinhood's part. I think they're pushing the limits of, you know, what what people are comfortable with. And of course, AMC, all they want to do is sell stock to new, new investors. The share count just keeps blowing out. That's the only way they've kept the company alive is selling new stock.
