  1. Edison International jumped 3% on Tuesday after a California judge tentatively denied a request to hold the utility liable for billions of dollars in property losses from the 2025 Eaton Fire without a trial. Last week, the Los Angeles County Fire Department concluded that the Eaton Fire was caused by electrical events at an out-of-service tower on a dry hillside. If the judge makes her tentative ruling final, Edison would be able to argue to a jury that the unusual circumstances surrounding the ignition of the fire do not qualify for inverse condemnation. Inverse condemnation is the legal principle under which California property owners can recover their losses without having to prove that a utility acted recklessly. The Eaton Fire killed 19 people and destroyed thousands of homes and businesses in the Los Angeles area. A trial is set for next year. 2. Hi guys, this is Kevin calling from La Crescenta, California. I was calling to ask about a company, Autoliv, ticker is ALV as in Victor. They supply safety equipment like airbags and seatbelts to a lot of different car companies from around the world. And I'm wondering if this is a good stock to pick up for long-term hold. Appreciate your thoughts as always. Thanks.

  3. All right, let's take a look at Autoliv Inc. Autoliv is a creator, manufacturer, distributor of these automotive passive safety systems. So think airbags, seatbelts, steering wheels. They have about 45% market share in passive safety. They have massive operations. They got 70-plus thousand employees. And what they've been doing recently that has been a big boon to their business is shifting rapidly towards being a, a Chinese domestic OEM. Because what you're seeing is this huge shift in the global production, right? You're seeing Chinese vehicles really become at the forefront of international purchases outside the United States. And so in most recent earnings, revenue was up about 2, uh, 3% year over year. You had cash flow, free cash flow margins up from 6% to 12.1%. I mean, things are looking really good here. Uh, that being said, it did drop off a little bit you know, margins are, are still solid. Uh, valuations are also pretty reasonable as well. I think that given their market capture, given their reasonable valuations, how they're starting to position themselves, and the fact that they're seeing real growth, this could be a good opportunity to get into a company like Autoliv Inc. Thanks for the call. On the next Invest Stock, we'll look into this question: is the US dollar losing its edge? The dollar outlook in the age of oil shocks and geopolitical risk. That's tomorrow.
